Still Champ. Had he lost to DC, this would've been a major excuse he and other folks would've stated was his downfall and why he didn't perform at 100%.

But he won, convincingly beating his toughest test to date.

Don't get me wrong, getting popped for coke is a big deal. However, it wasn't a post fight test and it didn't lead to a loss, that would've been a much bigger deal...to the media and to the UFC since Jones is currently the golden boy and the GOAT of MMA.

The guy has got issues, but you cant deny that the fighter is a legit badass. This will all blow over soon.

Err, what about the fact that his T:E levels were way off and strongly indicate he was coming off a cycle of PEDs?
You seriously still talking about the cocaine use, rather than the actual story with his levels?

Coke is so two days ago. Everyone is worried about his t/e levels being wack in the tests. That is the bigger story.

It's not just cocaine. There is evidence he used illegal performance enhancing drugs in the test results that were released to the public.

It's actually a much bigger deal because he is still the champ. Along with the T/E issue.

I cant seem to find a good article about it being PEDs and cycling. Can someone share a link?

For now the discussion is getting popped for coke.

Again, a loss would've been bigger news and I think mainstream outlets would've covered his fall from grace. However, Jones is still champ and UFC's golden boy will come out of this unscathed.

Its more of a PR thing than anything. A couple of Reebok commercials and Jones' image will retain its value. MMA Champ addict goes to rehab, turns life around, remains champ... you get the picture.

hahahahaha, it`s amazing how this year has started!

I honestly believe the UFC might be in danger here. Kinda like Pride in 2006. We know how 2007 went for them.

    This might be UFC`s decline.

    No big deal????

His T/E levels were ABNORMALLY LOW, all 0.35:1 or lower. Justin Gatlin, who was banned from the Olympics, tested in a 0.5:1. The most common reason T/E levels are that low is because users take exogenous epitestosterone to mask their higher testosterone levels. Everything smells fishy about Jones...

How is a guy that lost 4 rounds to 1 his "toughest test to date"? :icon_lol: Gustafsson clearly was, and still is.

And the PED stuff, well, yeah take a look around. The cocaine thing is small in comparison to what's brewing at the moment. The UFC has done a good job trying to blanket it with the coke and rehab headlines though. Props to them. They know how to do damage control.

Well that's what people were calling DC prior to the fight, his "toughest test to date." I think analyists were saying that DC had the goods to shut Jones down. We all know now how that fight played out but I agree that Gus was the biggest test Jones has been in thus far. Cant wait to see them fight again.

The T/E is just speculation at this point. The results don't correlate to PEDs but some people would love to discredit Jones in any way possible.

Face it folks, Jones is the current GOAT. He may be high as a kite, but give credit where credit is due.

His legacy will always have that little asterisk by it and the footnote "coke head".
