Dana and co. must have thrown bills at him for being game after the whole fiasco.

The payouts has been out for a while.

When the UFC starts paying me, I´ll start caring more. That said yes more money to them, but please not as much money as Mayweather so we get boring hand picked fights. It does seem very unfiar at times. But i´m just happy AS was on UFC 200 and got a big paycheck and got celebrated. And DC showed tons of respect.

Besides, this often happens, its never fair the way ufc pays usually..so..

Is normal.

Yep, in all this sucks for DC the most. He did what he was supposed to do and got fucked over for it.

He was set for a million dollar base pay but when Jones got pulled he got offered 500k and Silva got 600k. Thats ridiculous to me, they both should have gotten a split of what Jones was set to make.

Brock got 2.5 million and hunt recieved 700k comparatively.

Thoughts?
From a personal perspective i agree. But from a buisness stand point why would you pay the same for less of a fight?

Agreed, UFC often rewards the victims (Cormier in this case) when stuff like this happens, one of the few aspects when the UFC treats the fighters with respect

The way it worked out is probably better for Cormier in the long run. Yeah, for this fight he would've made more money but it's likely that he would have lost to Jones anyway and would've made less in his future fights. With Jones out now though, Cormier will be champ until he returns.

Maybe someone can explain this to me: I was under the impression that fighters get a set amount per fight in any given multi-fight contract. And then when one contract is up they negotiate another.

So how does Cormier's opponent, or whether or not it's a title fight, effect his payout?

I don't know to be honest.

The amount of money Cormier lost is millions actually. He was main event before, meaning he was gonna get a percentage of ppv money as well.
