Jon Lost Under the Unified Rules. But the Fight was in Texas.

Under the new rules round 5 is 10-8 for Jon Jones.

They were stupid to make a title fight in Texas in the first place that's on the UFC not Jon or Reyes' fault. They couldn't done UFN Houston and had Derrick fucking Lewis headline it instead of make it a Jones fight, who is controversial enough as it is.

So if Reyes knew he was fighting under texas rules ... why didn't he combine his striking with aggression and walk jones down? The rules state (in no particular order) that judges have to judge based on:

*Round 2*

striking: Reyes, although how effective it was idk. Jones was never 'reeling'.
cage control: Jones
aggression: Jones as he was forcing Reyes to back pedal most of the round
grappling: n/a as neither jones or reyes scored a takedown.

Jones walked forward into range... Reyes didn't want to engage so he backed up. He backed up 90% of the round only to unleash a flurry of punches for 30 seconds that really didn't do anything.
