That about sums it up about his career, he was impressive that no one could finish him in all those fights I'll give him that it's impressive, but he also lost some fights clearly imo the most blatant one being Reyes.

I really believe had Jones been born in 1977 instead of 87 he would have been in Pride or been a champ in 2000's UFC and like Chuck would have been used in the UFC bet with Pride owner, there he would have met the same fate as Chuck and someone would have beaten him there was only one person I can think of that never tasted defeat in Pride that had more than 3 fights and that was Fedor, Jones would have lost with the rule set, yellow cards, not being gifted decisions, having to fight severely injured in the same night because of GP's he wouldn't be what he was if not for the his UFC handlers.

I get that you want to say Aspinall or Ngannou could have beaten him. But they didn't. The only reason to say Jones wasn't at the top of the HW division is subjective speculation.

They brought a guy out of retirement who hadn’t won in 4 years. Exhibition fights don’t count.

He won the belt over a guy who just lost, who was cherrypicked because he was the best possible matchup. His whole run at HW was a fraud.
