Jon Jones looking big for HW debut

Has zero to do with how efficient a baseball bat your hips are swinging out.
Jones has been debilitated by Light Heavyweights who've chopped at his legs, so the logic is that Heavyweights who generate far more power could do even more damage; the durability of Jones' legs are what's in question.

Jon was a big LHW so this could work out great for him. Can't wait to see if he is still at flexible with that same gas tank....

Problem will be his shape ! If he is big for HW debut ( around 240 lbs ), it won't be efficient !
That we don't know until we see it. He might improve his cardio by not needing to cut any weight, also strenght. Obviously losing some speed.

He's tall and lanky, but is he truly a big LHW when he can make 205 without any problems most of the time (when guys like RDA and Poirier go through life and death to make their LW limit; both fighters have actually admitted this) when guys like DC look like they came out of a "camp" when doing so.

It's too much to ask for Jones to have the same flexibility, speed and the gas tank if he moves up to HW by adding 10-15lbs (more or less muscle) though since the extra weight is going to make most fighters slower (unless Jon has been adding a lot of speed work into his routine, but I don't think he's focused on that right now).

First of all, it's praise, not prays. Second, he may have teased a move to heavyweight in the past but he forfeited his belt, so this seems like a legit move up in weight.

How the fuck can you fuck up praise? Are you stupid?

Everybody had an optimal weight ! Jones look like around 220-222 lbs !
If you gain weight, everything change ( Balance, footwork, speed, agility, mouvement, cardio ) and its Time, training, nutrition for control everything

Already adding some mass to the arms, could definitely improve his punching power.

Or make him slower and less gas tank. johnny hendricks has more punching power than jon and his arms are no bigger than mine. Arm size got nothing to do with it

He's 6'4" 84.5" frame. 2 300 lb brothers in the NFL. All you saying he's gonna be slow and gassed at 240 lbs are crazy. He'll be fine. It's a shame he has the failed tests because he has the frame to be someone like Ubereem or Lesnar.

Jon Jones is an amazing talent and athlete but in no way, shape, or form does he look "big" in that photo.

Seeing that Jones doesn't have much of that KO power will the naturally HW guys just walk him down swinging for the fences?

I don't remember Jones having any clean KO.
Most of his stoppages (besides subs) were from his begginings, raining hellbows on grounded opponents.
That's exactly what they'll do. They had to respect DC because DC could hurt them bad if they didn't. Jones is gonna be a mediocre HW if he can't get punching power. Here's to hoping the extra mass will give him some serious power otherwise he's fucked.

Absolutely valid point regarding Jon's brothers. That said, Jon's most effective bodyweight isn't necessarily derived as a function of his family.

If he eats a single leg kick from Overeem, he loses the fight. Overeem would literally break his legs with kicks and it would be easy.

He's not going to fight Overeem. Or Ngannou probably.

Jones is on another cycle it would seem I think at this point he has power to bypass USADA, he doesn't have the heavyweight body so PED is the only way to get there
