I am probably the biggest jones hater on this site and he is a dipshit for driving drunk again.

However, the cops are full of shit. The police report states that Jones denied firing shots, but the body cam footage shows he didn’t even ask him!

There is zero mention of a gun or shots fired at all until after they found the gun in his car.

it seems they made up the shots fired story to justify the illegal dwi check. I don’t know the laws in NM but here in Cali they need a reason to pull you over.

I thought it some civilian who called the cops about some crackhead doing donuts in a Wallgreens parking lot firing off rounds.

And the cops found Jon there

He wasn't pulled over.

Also, from what I recall, the lapel just showed the sobriety tests, which is important to show as evidence that the officers didn't make up him failing the tests. It started with the Officer already identifying Jon, so his information and some questioning was already done. We only saw the DWI Officer Johnson's video which was taken, by the report, after the initial Officer pulled over Jon and asked about the gunshot, It's clearly noted in the reports.

*edit* if you were going to attack anything for bullshit justification, you should be looking at the "I also observed that he had green leafy substance on his shirt and pants, consistent with marijuana." That's the closest thing to bullshit justification right there. Them finding a bullet casing which will match Jon's glock is not really gonna look like them pulling bullshit reasons to question him.

Obvious frame job from the Albuquerque PD.

He wasnt pulled over. He wasnt driving at all. He got arrested for DUI because he admitted that he had been driving. The cops were questioning him because someone had called the police about shots being fired

Report states that he smelled strongly of alcohol 'from the mouth region' lol. Cops can make up any shit they want

so what are you saying?

Police Academy or Super Troopers level of bungling here?

If there was any true justice in this world, those cops would be peeling potatoes for a living, not harassing citizens in parked cars and filing false police reports.

Sobriety tests are fucking hilarious wtf is the point of them?
Get pulled over here and it's a breathalyser and a drug swab if they think you're high not fucking about walking about and counting backwards.
The video should have been 10 minutes shorter than it was.

  • They were responding to a report of gun shots. In your world, police ignore those calls?
  • They found him in the area, sitting in the driver's seat of a car - drunk.
  • They asked him if he intended to drive, he said yes.
  • They asked him to submit to sobriety check, he said yes.
  • He failed.
  • His situation. His fault.
  • People who peel potatoes for a living are called "chefs". They can make really good money.

Some of you guys are just pathetic. You can’t add 2+2, yet your inventing theories, complete with total lies you’re just making up?

Woah woah woah, we have Inspector Gadget on our hands, fellas. You better watch out, he’s about to break the case wide-open!

Jon 'I just can't stop being a dumbass while partying' Jones

*edit: The "I'm just out here talking to these homeless people. ya know, treating them like humans..." lie was a nice touch.

Why do you assume everything that actually happened is going to show up on the cop's body cam?

Chefs don't peel potatoes. Prep cooks do. They generally don't make really good money.

There was no mention of these gunshots in the police video. Why weren't they looking for a gun right then and there?

Being an idiot is not a crime. He could have just said he intended to drive in a few hours not right away. His lawyers can also argue that he took a few swigs off the bottle while he was sitting there in the car.
