Jon Jones is still cheating the USADA suspension system. By rules, his suspension only "ticks away" if he's actively being tested in the USADA pool. However, Jon Jones hasn't been tested by USADA since October (only 1 test in q4 2017).

We know this because his team publicized his passing of that test as part of their PR campaign to reduce his punishment (https://www.mmamania.com/2017/10/25...rug-testing-jon-jones-bones-still-passing-mma)

That was his last test on record, which was at least 7 months ago. Whether Jon has officially reached an agreement with USADA or not, his suspension should be frozen retroactive to October 2017.

In other words, if Jon were to agree to a 2 year suspension and take a USADA test TOMORROW, his suspension should run from May 30th 2018 to May 30th 2020.

This is absolutely ridiculous that Jon is probably going to get credit for "time served" without being tested during his suspension.

Just let him roid. Usada made this sport worse

USADA is probably already acknowledging that he was innocent this entire time and is now giving him a 1 year exemption from testing

Once a cheater, forever a cheater.

The only argument for USADA making it worse is fighters popping for roids and being suspended and pulled from the upcoming card, which is their own fault for trying to cheat

Good. They need to stop harassing the fighters trying to earn a living.

USADA know they messed up so they aren't inconveniencing him.
It's the least they can do.

He took a lie detector test, so he has been tested you foo

His suspension only ticks away if he's in the testing pool, not if he's actively tested.

We don't know if he's still in the pool. If he's not, that's only going to be a problem for him, because when he gets his definitive suspension then USADA will likely give him a non-retroactive one and won't consider time served (yes, they can do that).

Ultimately, if he gets 4 years, he's done for anyway.

this is not the first time someone has tried to claim this...but it is flawed logic.

a fighter being suspended after failing a drug test has nothing do with subsequent testing...those are two separate matters.

Jones failed a test and has been prohibited from fighting since then. what difference does it make if he has been tested a dozen times during this period? He is on the sidelines, either way...which is the point.

the only way the clock stops is if Jones withdraws from the testing pool (as Brock has done). If Jones hasn't withdrawn, should he have been tested during this time? yes, of course you can argue that...but it has no bearing on this time off 'counting' or not.

I think the reason is a test whether positive or negative could further effect the committees decision on the original failed test. Not to mention Jones would be entitled to another hearing and defense of another test during this time period should he fail.

We all saw what happened last time Jones was on suspension

This is literally the sixth time that this thread has been made in the last month.

There are also umpteen threads asking when Jones's USADA hearing is despite the fact that there isn't one scheduled.

Mods need to do a "Jones is a drug cheat" sticky.

He was being tested (and passing) when he was jacked up in the pic on the right.

That was in late 2015 during his hiatus from the UFC for the hit and run, not a drug suspension.
