People look at his age and conclude he'll be a Muhammed Ali in 10 years... Greg Jackson camp has been saying since ever "now he's going to KO people", "he'll be as good a striker as Anderson"... but the only fact is: since Shogun, Jon Jones looks less impressive and slower at each fight.

Care to back that fact up?

lol wha? he schooled Rampage, Shad and Machida... i dont get what youre saying...

the standing elbows against Rashad imo showed an improvement in his muay thai. It's very rare to see that kind of strike landed consistently in the ufc. Although i'm generally not really that excited to see him fight however, his style is very annoying to watch, he has bursts of activity and attack but generally just kinda bounces around with his hands in people's faces.

Anything positive about a fighter other than "KO power" or "Iron chin" is a myth on Sherdog

I agree with ts that jones hasn't looked better in any of his past 4 fights as he did in the shogun fight.
I think part of that is the fact that he was very motivated in that fight and really went for it.

But he has reached a very high level very quickly so to see big leaps on his game won't really happen. That we saw from him between the obrien fight through the shogun fight.

But even in the last 4 he still has shown growth and new skills he's developed. Subtle things and improvements.

I don't think it's that he hasn't looked as good as the shogun fight. It's more he had the fight of his life much like any fighters have vs shogun, but has still looked great and dominant since.

thats because shogun is so bad that is makes him look wayy too good but no

He's still evolving look at his submission game ffs. There's no way the Bones that fought Bonnar or O'brien would've subbed Vitor. His striking in the Shogun fight was the best it's ever looked but it's not like it's become worse he's just been focusing on other facets of his game.

The guy's only loss is a DQ in which he was dominating. He is great. Personally, I just think Rashad and Lyoto were more difficult stylistic matchups for Jones, and he still won convincingly over both. And Vitor got crushed except for that armbar attempt.

he has looked great in all of his fights but he def looked best against shogun. i still remember watching that fight not believing what i was seeing lol
