Jones is right. Why would he fight a guy he already beat?
There are other challengers in the division n Gus didnt do much since his bout with jones. He beat manuwa. Is that really nuff for another shot?

Seconded. Jon Jones: Alex is the undisputed #1 contender, who arguably beat you the first time around. Not only is he the #1 contender, but the fans and the UFC all desperately want to see the rematch and find out who the clearly better fighter is, which is an important fight because we fans and the UFC pay your salary. We overwhelmingly want to see this rematch, and right now to us it seems like Gus put it on you so bad in the last fight (you were hospitalized) that you want to run from him now. You should stand up like a man and face him. You don't get to determine who the #1 contender is, that's not part of your job. Be a man and face whoever is put in front of you.

Who would jones fight? Cormier?
Cormier is much easier to prepare for then GUS. COrmier can be stopped by a finger to the eye due to his height. Gus not so much.
He knows if Gus trains for spinning kicks,elbows, and eye pokes that he has nothing Gus hasn't prepared for.

He's not ducking anyone. He wants to beat everybody and not waste his time on rematches. If he gets past DC he'll want to fight the winner of Diet Nog and AJ.

Declining a fight on short notice (151) i can understand but declining a fight with this time period to prep for it is total BS. A champion should have his title stripped for declining a fight like this.

Jones relies a lot on surprise and his opponents not being used to him to win. I'm not surprised he isn't leaping at the idea of a rematch.
Jones should realize that ducking the big money fight is the most unacceptable form of ducking though.

WHY should Jones fight Gus again? Haven't we been having way too many rematches already? It's not like Jones lost via Split decision. Jones beat him decisively regardless if he did get beat up, he still BEAT him. Gus doesn't deserve another $500K payday just because he lost via Unanimous Decision.

Honestly, how many times are you going to say "Too many rematches" when we're talking about one of the best fights we've ever seen? Honestly, outside of Hendo/Shogun and BF/Hunt, what other epic war deserves a rematch more?
Don't shit on Gus just because Edgar gets to have as many rematches as he wants.

Not to make excuses for Ronda-- because that suggested matchup made me cringe-- but at least Gina makes sense because Gina is a huge draw compared to other WMMA fighters in the division. DC isn't going to be more of a draw than Gus.
