and people think this Jon Jones guy is gonna come to the HW division and boss up? he thought it was hard to control Dominick Reyes with his 77in reach. wait until the big boys just walk through your bullshit stiff arms and clobber you to death.

    Nah, not anymore.

Look at how Jon looked in the DC rematch. He was like the fucking devil. He was literally attacking DC every second from all angles with all kinds of kicks, knees, elbows, punches. He was relentless.

He just didn't fight the same here. Perhaps he was too threatened by Reyes striking combined with his reach.

He didn't respect DC's striking at all.

his physique & athleticism looked unreal. He is geared out of his garden right now. Holy smokes, I want some of that

And no, he looked spectacular, and can pretty much do it all

Reyes got worked, walked down, and made to look pretty pedestrian

Not a good look for Jones to lose to Reyes

I've been saying for a while that Jones fights not to lose now rather than to win. That's not how he fought earlier in his career. Eventually he'll come out on the wrong end of a scorecard because of it.

He's never lost a fight, fighting at the very top for a decade.

But yeah I'd like to see him go for the finish a bit more, we haven't seen that as much in the last few fights. Dom Reyes is really fucking good though, very impressive performance by him.

Zero successful takedowns, got beaten up on the feet for a lot of the fight, got hurt several times, had zero picograms in the system. Still wins 4 rounds to 1 on one of the judges scorecards.

I keep saying that decision fights should have the purses halved.

I agree but using his wrestling more would be a much safer way to fight not to lose. He's going to get KO'd stiff if he tries to stand this much against heavyweights.

Why would he go to HW? He fits perfectly at LHW

Reyes threw that fight away, good performance regardless tho.

When a fighter can’t pull that trigger anymore, that’s when you know they’re past it. His fight Iq is so high he can control fights through his generalship alone, but that’s wasn’t what made Jon a great fighter.

After the last two fights, I don't fancy Bones at HW. Hell, this outcome makes me reconsider Izzy's odds against him.

I’ve been sold a lot of bullshit tonight from Joe Rogan as well as Dominic Cruz. They want to argue about the system from boxing which is a 10 point must system. However, they want to argue that the 4th and 5th round count more for Jon Jones. I call bullshit, Reyes had to win three rounds. I gave him 1, 2 and 3 That means 48-47 Reyes!

He hasn't looked good since the second DC fight. He looks completely ordinary but these judges are always good for a payoff.

Yup. He neglects his wrestling now then when he felt he might be behind he tried to use it and it didn't work well. Jones wants so badly to be Anderson Silva on his feet and he's simply not.
