Media Jon Jones confirms the story of being knocked out by Adlan Amagov

I have no idea (or I forgot) why Adlan retired, but he remains a huge "What if....."

Regardless, his name still carries weight. He only had two losses. One was in his pro mma debut, and, on that fact alone, I'd be willing to forgive that loss. But still, it was a loss by Ezekiel choke to Alexei Oleinik. Very forgivable. And his other loss was due to Robbie Lawler's flying knee. Not a bad look, to say the least. And stories like this (Jones) only add to his reputation. It's a good win for Oleinik and a great win for Robbie.

yeah he's got some high profile stories about him, there are fighters that are monsters in the gym but can't put it all together when the stakes are high though. Adlan kind of retired early for us to find that out though.

Jon is such a weirdo. Clearly on drugs here and trying to impress the Russians but when he normally speaks about Adlan dropping him it's that Adlan went excessively hard in light sparring and he never worked with Adlan again, likely tried to get him blackballed from Jackson's.

Weird Chechen mafia shit guised as "for religious purposes". And yeah, he went to a draw with Atilla Vegh at 205, he was a little wild and sloppy standing with his hands but the speed, power, athleticism and kicks were incredible. I used to say he'd be a future champ. Oh well, Adam Khaliev was another guy, Kelvin Gastelum. Quite a few just fuck up their careers but had the talent.

I had posted about that here a long time ago lol. JJ said that in 2021 in the Joe Rogan podcast. Joe asked if he were outperformed and he said he was training in Chechen and this guy, who was the original wolf, hit him with a spinning pack kick to the liver and he was knocked down and couldn't breath for some time. Then people there even called this Amagov to a podcast and he said : "Yeah, but we have been training together a long time, ever since 2010. It was sparring too, so I don't know why JJ brought it up, it doesn't mean much. I like the guy, but I think he pushes too much sometimes, I worry that he can't live without having a fight booked lol. But he comes here to the gym to train and I like him and his dedication "

The guy who ran the gym, after JJ told it in the podcast, confirmed it, and the gym is like a mysterious and rough gym on Chechen that ots been reported to hold contents of fights like a fight club almost, said that JJ would go there to spare and they would always welcome him, and that he (the owner) was upstairs and heard someone screaming out loud, the roar of a man and he was afraid someone was stabbed. Then he said it was JJ laying on the ground. He said that right after irl JJ came back to sparring but started to go serious, trying to pay back, and then he'd spar one guy after another and that people enjoyed it because it became almost like a real 1 round striking fight, but whenever JJ was done "sparring " with one after 5 minutes, the fighters would be looking at each other like "you go next! "

I had posted the interviews in the thread it was brought up past year.

Maybe that's like how Chimaev has a connection to JJ too. Khamzat said more than one time that JJ is the GOAT and also, his favourite fighter.

Fedor got knocked out in sparring Amar Suloev according to rumors from those who trained at Red Devil in those days. This type of shit happens. It's why they train.
I'm sure it's more common than is revealed to the public. Everyone gonna zig when they should zagged every once in a while

That’s Fedor though…

Jones has that African bone structure with American integrity which makes him not only GOAT, but super PC and forgivable as hell..
