There are 11 weeks between UFC 197 and UFC 200, which makes Jon Jones a legitimate possibility for the card. Potential opponents include:
DC Trilogy: If Cormier were to pull off the upset at UFC 197 then they would be tied at one win a piece. Given their intense rivalry and the coverage that Jones' loss would receive, a rubber match would be an easy sell. If it is a particularly one-sided loss then Jones could still be on the card in a non-title fight against Gustafsson or Rumble.
Anthony Johnson: Jones' scheduled opponent before being suspended, and the only top LHW contender that Jones has yet to defeat. Rumble has rebounded from the DC loss with two knockout wins over top 10 opponents and he presents an interesting stylistic threat to Jones. Even if Jones were to lose to DC this would be a good title eliminator.
Cain Velasquez: Cain is already rumored for the UFC 200 card against Travis Browne, but the UFC could switch things around to facilitate the bigger fight. Jones would have just dispatched Cain's friend and teammate and it would be his Heavyweight debut. It would be a solid co-main event to a McGregor title fight, a worthy main event over Nate vs Conor II and an outstanding 3rd fight if they really want to stack the card.
Fabricio Werdum: There are 8 weeks between UFC 198 and UFC 200. It would be a relatively short turnaround for Werdum, but being in the biggest fight ever should be plenty of motivation (not to mention the subsequent payday). If Werdum defends the title against Stipe and comes out injury-free then he would be silly not to take this fight. He would already be in fighting shape and he doesn't have to worry about cutting weight. There has also been some verbal back and forth between the two already, so this would be the absolute best case scenario. If Stipe wins then Jones could still face him for the belt, but it wouldn't be as interesting.
