Media Jon Jones and Nate Diaz say that barely watch the UFC now a days

I mean even Dana is more into powerslap/boxing.

Joe Rogan has been sleepwalking through his commentary for a long time -- rehashing talking-points that are two decades old.

DC will frequently forget stuff that he commented on just last week.

Matchmakers scheduling Vettori vs Dolidze forgetting the first fight happened.

Is anyone *watching* UFC these days?

The old guard can’t hang with the nEw BrEeD
Tale as old as time

Time to tuck these two grandpa’s into bed

old guys out of touch with new stuff is nothing groundbreaking. Also, I doubt either of these guys ever watched much UFC outside of their potential opponents or teammates. Fighters generally aren't UFC fanbois. Its kinda like how most actors arent out there in the theater watching all the super hero movies.

I think the vast majority of retired and non-retired UFC fighters don't watch much MMA, they might tune in for a big PPV or need to watch tape for an upcoming fight, but they definitely aren't watching regularly.

The product has gotten worse sure, but I also think most current & former UFC fighters have a love hate relationship with the organization and the sport. It's also a cutthroat business, where most fighters don't want to see potential opponents have any success. Jealousy, envy, fear, it brings up a lot of emotion many fighters try to avoid.

If you've watched Usman KO Masvidal 30 times, you can start to believe the hype or media opinions. You can build your opponent up a little more than what they actually are, you think his right hand is more deadly than it actually is. Those feelings deeply scare many fighters.

Jones won't watch in case he spots Tom Aspinall in the audience. He knows he will be having nightmares for the next month trying to get Tom out of his head.
