Oh shhiiii-

someone is going down in this one! What do you think @Zebra Cheeks ? Is Walker going to flop around once more? Or does Cutelaba go full aggro again and scream and look tough all before getting face planted?

<DCWhoa>

Finally they are building up UFC 179 and feeding that card good fights

Interesting match-up. Gun to my head I'm picking Cutelaba, though. Walker's only notable win against a grappler was Cirkunov who he clipped with a flying knee in the first round before Misha got his takedown game going. Anderson and Krylov both were able to take him down and control him. Spann had some success against him in the grappling, too, but got overly excited and was the victim of bad fight IQ (along with possibly some back of the head shots?).

I can see Cutelaba going forward recklessly and getting clipped, but I want to believe he's learned some lessons from his previous losses. However, wild strikes on the entry (or at range if Ion can't make his way in) is really the only thing Cutelaba has to worry about. Walker is not much of a submission threat historically. Cutelaba's cardio has improved significantly and Walker doesn't have a history of winning long wars of attrition anyway. Conversely, Walker is at risk of getting chinned or wrestlefucked here at any given moment in the bout... so I guess I'm going with Ion. But really anything can happen considering both guys are wild to a fault and the first round is their most dangerous.

Rooting for Johnny but expecting Ion by vicious rd 1 KO

I'm picking Walker to get back in the W column. After a mostly inactive 1st round, Cutelaba tries to steal it by recklessly closing the distance for a takedown in the final minute of the round and eats something. He gets dropped, and the fight ends in a debatable stoppage with Cutelaba angry about it.

If Walker loses though, I don't expect him to get cut, but he'll get a much lower ranked guy next time out. If he loses that one, THEN he's gone.

Walker might be going back to survival spinning feint mode of Thiago Santos fame.

Who is coaching him this time?

War or Standoff?

People are actually picking Cutelaba to win??<30>

His performances vs Devin Clark & Dustin Jacoby have me leaning his way, not like there's anything much Walker has done lately to have anyone favor him. It's not like Walker is going to attempt to submit him, they'll both be gassed halfway into the fight anyways.
