BoxingScene.com was informed that undefeated Chris John will defend his WBA featherweight title in a rematch with Rocky Juarez on the September 19 undercard to Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Juan Manuel Marquez at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The fight will be part of the televised undercard on HBO pay-per-view.

This plus Hatton v Judah on the undercard is better than a lot of televised ppvs.

Solid undercard fight. Juarez is pretty boring but hes a good fighter.

I enjoyed Juarez vs John 1, I thought John did enough to win it in there first match but I'm glad to see another fight between them.

Also I wonder what the talk is going to be since Mayweather is going head to head with 103

Well that's a very good undercard bout and their last fight was very good but it was still a horrible decision. You've got to wonder how many more chances Juarez is going to get after this

Took the words right out of my mouth. Juarez Fights like it costs him money to throw punches. John MADE him Fight, won the Fight, but because Rocky has a deal with Satan it was called a draw. So glad it's not going to be in Texas. This is horrible International relations as well. If after that first Fight John took his belt back to Indonesia and basically said America could shove it up our asses, I couldn't blame him one bit. And that's a shame because we bitched for so long about how he wouldn't come here.

It's good that John / Juarez is on this card, but I think if will be even more one sided in John's favor and barring a total screw job he should walk away with another victory.

I had been wanting John to come fight in the US for the longest time and then he comes and Texas fucks it up. He's coming back so I guess he's not too pissed about it.

He's just been in the game long enough to know how that goes, and is a true Sportsman in that regard.

Wow, I was looking at John's bio, I didn't know he was only 29, man he's still got 2-3 maybe even 4 primes years left.

Not too shabby undercard. Kind of surprised because when superfights come around, there is usually no money for a fairly decent undercard. Nice.

Id rather have Bute vs Andrade then John vs Juarez 2 on this card

they trying to stock the card, golden boy does not want this to be a failure and they are doing whatever they can to draw in fans, namely the fans from big markets and the hisp/mex fan base..

its the only hope of having leverage against pacman w/negotiations; i expect to see some more name/popuilar guys on this card

i like juarez but damn how many title shots get wasted on one guy; their are hall of famers who never got shots and he keeps getting them despite being beaten DECISIVELY everytime, its like he does just enough to be able to b*tch about the loss.. but never enough to win, same w/luis collazo
