Dodson is the better athlete. Demetrius held up better for the last round after getting knocked down a couple times and looked stronger at the end. So Dodson is probably right on that.

I scored the first 3 rounds for him first time around and he faded.

I thought with a lil better cardio and trying to grab a takedown at the end of rounds he would of secured the victory

Round 3 is pretty close. I think that round could have went either way.

Dodson would have won the belt if it was a round 3 fight, unfournately for him it wasn't, and he spent the remaining 2 rounds getting his shit completely pushed in.

I remember post fight tho baldfather saying he thought dodson won 3 to 2. It was a close fight.

It was an impressive fight; MM showed heart and the willingness to push himself for championship rounds. Dodson looked good early, but his inconsistent volume and cardio cost him.

I think DJ takes the rematch handily though. He's shown a lot more improvement since that fight, while Dodson can still be frustrating to watch at times. The talent is obviously there, but he doesn't put it all together as well.

If you re-watch the fight Dodson was hanging right with him for the first 2 1/2 rounds. None of his camp was previously dedicated straight to cardio, which blows my mind when you are about to fight Mighty Mouse. I think the fight will be much different this time around. Dodson was landing HARD bombs in the first fight.
