Wow no one saw this coming. John is not a fan of Ted Cruz. More an more established Republicans are speaking out against Ted Cruz. We don't know what was happening behind the scenes an it looks like it was a nightmare for John.

Really? I remember watching Cruz participate in senate hearings and thinking that he is a smooth debater of the highest order. I usually expect people with debate skills to be much smoother in working with other, if nothing else then for the reason that they don't have to resort to screaming to carry a point over.

Ad hom is fun, and I've heard some great burns, but I've never yet seen anyone here who truly could lay waste verbally. Much more to my satisfaction, there are some politically astute people from all sides posting here

Hillary is a power hungry bitch and believes she should be able to do anything she want and fuck everyone else.

Bernie seems like a nice guy but is too far left on most issues for me.

When the times comes I will try and vote for who I think will do me the least harm, but this shit is not even funny anymore.

There's a difference between debating and negotiating. Cruz wants to make a point, Boehner wants to make a deal.

I think Cruz has Asperger's or something. He comes off as really weird - he's obviously smart as hell, but he looks completely uncomfortable with people, and wholly forced in his mannerisms. There was a quote from him when he was younger where he was wholly unliked and had no friends so he decided to study what the "cool kids" did and then ape that - I think that's what he tries to do now.

Boehner also loathes Cruz because Cruz cheerlead (if not outright led) the Freedom Caucus to cause the Government Shutdown, and one the whole stand firm in the House on votes which eventually cost Boehner his speakership.
