I get what he is saying but why cant people understand that this is business and entertainment, sure its a sport but for them its about making money.

In addition Conor works extremely hard to be a great fighter, its not like hes getting things just because, if two fighters are the same skillwise but one can sell a fighter way better and draw more ratings (hence more money) why wouldnt he get more attention? I mean its common sense.

One other things is that life in general is not fair, you have to know how to play the game.

If they want to give Conor special treatment and all of this nonsense that's perfectly fine, it's the UFC and they can run their business however they want.

But don't institute a ranking system, force 95% of your roster to lose money based on a stupid sponsorship deal so 'the sport of MMA looks cleaner and sharper' and constantly talk about how you're 'the fastest growing sport in the world' and on the same level as the NFL and the NBA.

I have no problem with special treatment as long as its warranted. Conor has done a great job of selling himself, the card and backing it up in fights. Those other fighters should try and sell themselves harder if they want attention.

For me, unwarranted hype would be the crap we had to hear from Dana and Joe Rogan about Ronda Rousey.

special treatment is bound to happen, its pretty common in sports

Not to mention he's a Frankie nuthugger.
They're from the same town and everything he says about McGregor always comes back to poor little Frankie and how Frankie should get a medal even though he didn't win the race because he's a great little guy.

Kinda crazy that guy rolls with Eddie Bravo

... cuz when you are favoring one fighter, it looks like you are cheering for him. if you are cheering for him, it is harder for people to believe you aren't trying to help him win. and if people don't trust you not to fix the fights, it becomes pro-wrestling.

Who cares what Joey Diaz thinks?

Ill be honest, before reading this i was annoyed about the McGregor hype.

But put like this it kinda makes sense....

I'm not opposed to Conor getting huge pay ckecks, it's the "rules" that only apply to Conor that piss me off. Like moving up to challenge for a belt, but being able to keep his FW belt. Meanwhile, the FW division is on hold, when they could have a title fight booked right now.

You reap what you sow.

If you don't sow shit you don't reap shit.
