Last week on the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast, Rogan revealed an incredible story about the gambling habits of Dana White.

“I am terrified of gambling, because I know way too many people who do it. And rich people!” he said.

“Like my friend Dana White, who’s the president of the UFC, he’s rich. And he will gamble. He’s lost as much as a million dollars in a night. F*CK THAT. Dude, I wouldn’t be able to sleep for a month…

He then recalled the story of one of White’s “better” nights and how difficult the casino made it for him.

“Well he won seven million one night.” he said.

“They don’t like to pay you, they like to keep it in the casino. So they paid him in garbage bags. They wanted to give him cash, they didn’t even want to give him a bag. He had to go get garbage bags.

“So they came back with those fucking black hefty bags, and they stuffed seven million dollars into hefty bags and then left the casino.”

During a media luncheon back in 2014, White recounted the story, validating Rogan’s story about bringing his own trash bags to carry his winnings. Rogan may have been a little bit off with his figures though, White claiming he won five million, not seven million.

When the casino told him he’d have to carry the money out in cash, White was stunned.

“I’m like, are you serious? We’re going to get killed,” White said. “They don’t have some kind of suitcase where they put the money in. ‘You just beat us, here you go.’ That’s really the attitude. They just stack it all up there and go ‘thanks, have a great night.’ We’ve had trash bags, we got to the point we started bringing our own bags.”

. . .

"There’s nights I beat the casinos for $5,000,000.”

. . .

“I have a lot of all-night blackjack sessions. I have nights where I’ll f***ing come home and I’m like, ‘Holy s***. The kids are gonna be up in two hours.’ So I get two hours sleep and then get up and take them to school and then go to work."

Good story, someone tell Schaub so he can bitch more about Dana White and Reebok pay on TFATK.

I think you`d be surprised like, Dana is his favorite person ever, the nicest guy ever for sure.

Cash is fairly heavy. I wonder if he had to double bag the hefty garbage bags.

Weird, pretty sure if you win a certain amount you have to fill out a tax for or W-2 slip, maybe not in Vegas tho

Crazy story.

It'd be even crazier if I actually believed Dana about how much he wins and loses when gambling.

"What the fuck do you mean I have to go get bags for my cash? What kind of fucking place doesn't have bags for their cash? What kind of fucking casino is this? I'll be right back you fucking goof!"

If i cough up 5 million to somebody, they can afford to go buy their own fuckin suitcase. Hell, even those 50 lbs hefty bags aren't cheap.

yeah... blow millions on gambling but penny pinch the fighters.

Decided to crunch some numbers:

Assuming the casino is generous and gave Dana the $5 million strictly in $100 denominations, the breakdown looks like this:

One hundred $100 bills bundled together = $10,000 per stack
$5,000,000 / $10,000 stacks = 500 stacks

So if they gave him only $100 denominations, he walked out with 500 stacks of bills.

If they gave him only $20 denominations, we're looking at 2,500 stacks of bills.

Based on all of this:

Number of garbage bags Dana needed = a fucking lot
