You act like the division issue is an intractable thing, and 135 wasn't just the UFC creating a division for Rousey. The UFC could make a 145 pound division, and they could make super fight if they wanted to, but they don't want to do the latter because of the risk of Rousey losing. Weight divisions and belts are Macguffins to keep a narrative for the sport, and nothing else.
I don't know what 'weight divisions are Macguffins to keep a narrative for the sport' even means so I'm not going to address it.
The UFC could add a 145 women's division but they haven't nor is there any reason for them to do so given the depth of talent more specifically the complete lack thereof. The 135 lb division has far more depth than the 145 lb division. That's the reason Scott Coker asked both Ronda and Cyborg to drop to 135 years ago. It makes sense to have a 135 division, it doesn't make sense to add a 145 division.
At this moment in time there is not 145 women's division, there are no plans to introduce a 145 women's division in the UFC, and fighters need to make weight according to the divisions that are in the UFC. It doesn't matter what divisions the UFC could potentially add at some point in time. What matters is what divisions currently exist in the UFC. If Cyborg wants to fight Ronda then she has 2 options:
1. She can take a gamble the UFC will add a FW division at some point before Ronda retires, stop calling Ronda out, and bide her time until the division is added.
2. She can realize the UFC doesn't have a FW division, take the route that guarantees her a fight, diet down to a respectable 160, and cut to 135 from there.
It's incredibly unlikely the UFC will add the women's FW division before Ronda retires so the smart thing is for Cyborg to go with option 2. Either way, she needs to stop demanding a CW or a fight at 145 until the UFC has a 145 division. Until that happens, there will be no CW.
