Joe Rogan isnt sold on the Bing Bang theory finds Jesus resurrection more plausible

"Magical guy in the sky" is also a pretty simple interpretation to be fair.

Take a stab at explaining where the energy came from that created the Big Bang to begin with.

Actually there is nothing simplistic about interpretation. People don't realize that what they are doing is saying that since they don't feel the science is adequately explained, they will believe in magic instead, go with the supernatural, which has ZERO evidence; it is simply taking it on faith.

lol at the idea it is Jesus or the Big Bang with no other options. The nerdy alien kid running the simulation we live in right now probably laughs at these conversations- get what I mean? There are millions of possible "scientific" or "spiritual" explanations.

It's stupid to play astrophysicist and argue technical details for people like us who have no idea WTF we are really talking about in terms of the microdetails. What I would ask is if you apply those same standards to the Jesus explanation- where did Jesus/God get the energy? I guess in magic you don't need energy, other than flicking your bic.

If you go with an explanation that tries to argue in favor of the Big Bang, then the question remains, where did that energy come from? In physics, there has never been a documented case of something appearing from nothing. No matter how far back you go, there has to be a point of creation somewhere.

The point is, that we don't have the answers. Many cultures and peoples have tried to figure this out and came up with their own theories, but it's all still very much unexplained. A belief in a creator isn't the craziest thing.

Yeah, the big bang is implausible- it's MORE plausible that a magical guy in the sky flicked his bic and created the universe in an instant. OK.

Yet people will genuinely speak in favor of "simulation theory" as though it's anything other than a modern science-y take on religion.

There are numerous theories on where the energy came from, and absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. Yes, we haven't fully explained the universe and everything in it, not even close, but everything I said in my first post still matters.

You can choose to believe in a creator as long as you realize the limitations of the belief- you are taking it on faith and not evidence and believing in magic; there isn't a lot of room to criticize science when you are believing in magic. Unless of course you can explain where God got the energy from.

Since going from hunter/gatherers, we have progressively explained more and more as we have advanced; the need for attributing aspects of our world to the supernatural has grown progressively smaller.

I'm still not sure where you keep getting the idea of magic from. I think God (for lack of a better word) is omni-present. I'm not imagining some big guy sitting in a bunch of clouds. I don't even think it's particularly an actual being in any sort of physical form, but maybe it can manifest itself as so.

I can tell though, having a conversation like this with someone who keeps using "magic" and "guy in the sky" I'm probably wasting my time. I gotta get some sleep anyway.

So he's now fully done a 180°, he's a complete Trump and republican shill, going against everything he's said in the past in order to suck the dick of the machine and keep him in their good graces. He really is a midget with a Napoleon complex, and he see's the powerful losers of the world as the right people to suck up to.

Dude has no fortitude, morals, ethics, he really just sold out for money and power. What a fucking pathetic person 😂 just a straight up loser, I'm sure his daughters hate him.

So he is a Trump and republican shill by going Christian ? Are all Christians Trump and republican shills ? If so at what point did it turn from a religion into an organization to specifically shill for American right wingers ?

You aren't offering any explanation of where God's power comes from, the supernatural is magic- unexplained power; you were very critical of science because it wasn't explaining the energy/power that created the universe, yet you have no explanation for the power of God (and became upset that I called it magic). I'll call it supernatural if that makes you feel better, the semantics of it don't matter; you won't hide from the concept.

Yeah but the difference is that the Big Bang Theory is based on physics. A scientific discipline that has changed society many times over.

Science got the track record. Ask Jesus to build you a computer bruh..

Sure, I'm not denying the Big Bang happened or trying to argue that. But, based on physics, there's also never been any sort of case where something came from nothing. We know there was an explosion of energy, but from where? Wouldn't it make some sort of sense that eventually somewhere there was a point of creation that goes beyond that?

Any time that question gets asked, it goes back to a loop of "I don't know". The more questions you can answer, the more questions you end up having.
