Comparing McGregor to Sugar Ray Leonard and Muhammad Ali was absurd at completely out of line. Leonard starting boxing at the age of 13, Ali at the age of 12. These guys put everything they had into perfecting their craft, and becoming all time greats in their sports. McGregor has been fighting in the UFC for like a month, and his notable wins are agains Poirer, whom has a chin made of glass, and Siver whom is basically a "guy" the UFC trots out to fill out cards. Joe, you are better than this

What do you expect? Rogan's job is to overhype, and with McGregor, is normal.

Relax. It's hype, take it for what it is.

Conor has been in the fight game since he was a kid as well: Perfecting his craft.

He throws sugar ray in there just to sound like he knows about boxing. It's so annoying.

Poirier has a glass chin? His only loss by (t)ko is to Conor.

Conor himself said he doesn't want to be compared to those guys

Listen to Rogan for the humor. Once you begin doing this, it's much more entertaining and considerably less frustrating.

He's been showing wear and tear in his last couple of fights leading up to the mcgregor stoppage,he had been getting rocked badly

Still a good win for Connor

Contrast that with Goldie hyping Travis Lutter as Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, and Rogan treating him like he's clueless (and rightfully so).

Rogan's obviously a smart guy, and some of his takes on nutrition and science are really interesting. But as a UFC shill he's annoying as hell.

lol anybody over 40 is very familiar with sugar ray

they had some great, great tunes, especially their hit original "is she really going out with him?".

UFC's credibility went out with the Fox Deal.....ships sinking, Viacom buys UFC within 5 years.

Joe Rogan is dead to me. Hyperbole and hype are one thing, but completely sacrificing your credibility to be a company hype-man is another. He's certainly taken things too far these days, what with the "Anderson was beating Weidman before the knockout" nonsense and now this (among all the other stuff). Say it ain't so, Joe, say it ain't so.

He had already compared Sonnen to Ali.

I do the exact opposite.
In regards to him as a comedian, I never really laughed at anything he said.

Rogan is an idiot who thinks he knows something about box because he ordered some Willy Pep DVDs from amazon.

Then on his podcast him and Eddie Bravo talk about Kimbo Slice saving the HW box division.

Joe Rogan knows as much about boxing as Vadim Finkelstein knows about Nascar.
