Bullshit. If you share the road with me and my family and you're whacked out of your mind on some illegal substance then it is most assuredly my business. If you chill in your house and snip your weiner off while on PCP then that's your business and I'll simply shake my head.

Jones already has an arrest for DWI and now a positive test for cocaine metabolites so who knows what he's doing that will never see the light of day or what state he might be in when he's driving with his kids strapped into car seats. I cringe thinking about what a selfish drug user might consider as the norm in their daily life.

I definitely think FOX and/or Reebok have told Zuffa to wind their necks in a bit...especially with this lawsuit coming up. They want to portray as clean an image as possible, which isn't gonna happen with Dana going fucking mental whenever a camera's in front of him.

This isn't a good look for them, no way. Lawsuits, champion busted for coke use, fighter after fighter coming out of the woodwork complaining (for me, it's a 50/50 split between legit complaints and bitter bastards, but still it's bad publicity).
 
Love it how people think that Danas official response is hypocrisy. You think an international organization should give out statements like "yo what the fuck is this shit, come on dude! jones is a punk!"?

Of course they're going to give out that PR style statement, what did you expect?

Sounds like you haven't heard Dana White go on any inappropriate cuss filled rants bashing fighters before to large media outlets or at his own press conferences.

Fuckin' exactly. It's not like he did rails and then entered the cage. It was a month before the fight. In a "free" country, this shit shouldn't even matter.

also who are you to say "audience" don't care? Its to UFC's own benefit to make a stance ESPECIALLY with partners like FOX and Reebok

Dana reacted to JBJ coke thing by saying it's good he's going to rehab. He won't lose his belt etc.

Honestly I don't give a sh*t if jbj did coke or not. What a man does in his own free time without affecting others directly is his own business. What right does anyone have to say "hey you can't do that even though you are just f*cking yourself up". I get the whole public safety issue but Jon wasn't caught driving high, or doing anything high. He did lines of cocaine in Brazil on the 30it it looks.

So meh. He went to rehab, who knows why, hopefully he doesn't do this sh*t again. I don't really see the point of just trash talking the dude online for days straight is.... he ain't reading sherdog....

How often do sponsors in other sports drop people over drug charges? Steroid use? DUI? Assaults?

Until Ray rice it was okay to beat your wife. Doing blow is pretty low on the totem pole of things that people give a shit about.

imo if any unpopular fighter on 2-3 losing streak will be tested positive for cocaine he would be cut from ufc asap

anyway, little point to continue like this. Whether audience care or not, its not up to you/i to decide. Part of the audience/demographic may not care while some do care.

well , at least it has been civil discussing with you which I appreciate (cant say that about every sherdogger). maybe we can find another topic/thread to debate later. im done with this one.
