This dude is still fighting every couple of months and he is on a nice winning streak. Mean while Cruz is getting injured left and right.

I don't understand, Riggs started his career in the late 90s, Cruz in 2005. Yet Cruz is getting injured the hell up all the time and just cant make it to the cage despite a very conservative style while Riggs is a boxer and ground and pound fighter who is not afraid to take shots.

Are old school guys tougher or crazier?

I think a cage/ring hybrid setup is superior to the ufc octagon both for the fighters and the viewers. But the octagon is an integral part of the UFC brand, I doubt they'll adopt this anytime soon.

I want to say good for him, but he has serious brain damage.

honestly its hard to root for anyone with "DIESEL" tatted on their stomach

Well I am sure Joe Riggs wouldn't want a fan whos disobedient behavior has earned him a yellow card in a more easy going era of Sherdog.

is that a real question with Cruz ?
in your logic every fighter gets exactly same punches and kicks and you wonder why they have different reactions !!!!

i made a muslim/ISIS joke about one of the dagestani fighters. i was surprised to get a yellow card as i have said much worse things on this forum.

Riggs has broken his hands a couple times. I remember him apologizing to his wife that he broke his hands again.

I'm still waiting for him to cut his own dick off and throw it away.

Riggs needs to stop. His face looks like it's been reconstructed so many times to the point that he doesn't even look like the Joe Riggs from the early 2000's. He doesn't fight like he used to either. Ellenberger is heading down the same path. Both were tough guys with power in their strikes but have now reverted to fighters that are looking to grapple.

Wow...what the fuck?

Honesty surprised this guy is still alive...never mind competing.

Good for him.

fuckin rights riggs go get em

USADA

Guys aren't able to recover now that we have removed scientific advancements from the fight equation (in UFC). This is the reason I'm not a big fan of banning PED's. I understand the argument against PED's but I also know there is a strong argument for PED's in the fight game that is too taboo to even talk about seriously.

and he actually shot himself in one of them
damn this guy must hate his hands

Yea I watched his last fight in M1 too. He looked decent actually, fought a pretty solid fighter faced adversity and came out with the finish.

Still my most memorable moment of him is when he shot himself in the leg or hand or some shit. Lol

Hahaha that was crazy. Its pretty amazing he still has proper use of his hand.

I remember when Riggs beat up Diaz and I thought he can be champ at that time, but I don't know what happened to him after that, he lost his way. I remember his title fight with hughes was so disappointing, he got taken down easily and tapped out quick.
