These two are the biggest names ive heard of in Orange County to instruct bjj...im not sure if any of the gracie barras or any other big names are here too, but im only familiar with these two in orange county. Which school would you go to ?? Clebers school or Joe Moreira's school?? Which school pumps out the most technical hard-to-beat fighters??

Also, if you went up against a Cleber guy, how was he? And how is the moreira guy if you went up against one?

marcio feitosa runs the gracie barra USA school in lake forest. check him out if you're in orange county. his credentials are far more impressive than either cleber or moreira.

thanks man i just looked him up. ADCC champ. Do you know if he instructs there everyday or what??

And does that particular gracie barra pump out some pretty good guys?? Better than moreira and luciano?? Because its all about the instruction.. and the amount of good bjj'ers

Yes, Feitosa is there pretty much everyday as head instructor. have recently heard from a friend that Babalu has recently trained there as well.

The instruction at Gracie Barra is top notch too.

Gracie Barra - Lake Forest
Joe Moreira - Newport Beach
Cleber Luciano - Costa Mesa

whichever is closest to you I guess. whatever you choose you can't go wrong with either 3. hope this helps.

You should check out Tinguinha's school (GB BB). Awesome teacher, great guy, nice atmosphere, reasonable prices.
Damn, now I realize, I'm in the other part of the world (Romania - Eastern Europe) and I'm giving advices to a guy from OC regarding the JJ facilities around there. I gotta spend less time on the internet and train more.:D

well the lake forest facility is new so they probably don't have too many advanced american students at the moment but that will change with time of course. the instruction is world class and marcio is a very nice guy. you'll also have the barra guys visiting all year round. carlinhos (the grandmaster), gordo, babalu, pe de pano, kyra etc. it's a good place to be.

also as mentioned in the posts above, tinguinha is great too. great teacher and extremely nice guy. you can't go wrong with these guys.

Dam i was interested in the gracie barra in lake forest but in the post earlier.. it said the prices were pretty high....

Which school from OC pumps out the best students

Boran Jiu-Jitsu on Harbor and Adams if you're in Costa Mesa

I go to Gracie Barra of Lake Forest when I can...great place to train. Brand New gym/mat...alot of people there. Marcio is always around, and carlos is there alot also. Everyone I have rolled with there have been good to my surprise. Plus Babalu, Pe Ne Pano, Kayron, Kyra, Roger, gordo, Renzo, Braulio Estima, etc. So many of the top grapplers stop by a train for tourneys. Good place and atmosphere check it out. Plus the fact that I can train at any other Gracie Barra in So Cali is a plus like Marcelo Pereira (4-time Pan Am champ) and Nelson Monteiro (helped to form the ADCC and the most underrated grappler alive IMO)

wait.. what do you mean you can train in other gracie barra academies?? Are you saying.. if you train at one gracie barra academy... you can train any any other gracie barra youd like too?

If anyone's interested in checking out Tinguinha's or want more info on training in the OC. Give me a PM. I'd be happy to share.

As for which school pumps out better students... that's hard to say. Gracie Barra OC is pretty new so they haven't had time to establish themselves. Cleber has a lot of tough guys. At Tinguinha's we have a tough group of guys. In short, there's no clear cut way to determine this.

As for training at Gracie Barra... it means that you're welcome to stop by and train at any of their academies. You really can't go wrong with Gracie Barra... it's just a lil' pricey.

is that sarcastic? When you are in with GB you get to train at almost any other GB academy at another location that you want.

ie: So Cal for example (Temecula, Oceanside, Del Mar, Lake Forest) take your pick.

If I'm not mistaken you can train at GB London if you really wanted.........if you could get there that is.

How's No-Limits for BJJ and Sub wrestling?

They're ok. I stopped by to check them out about 2 years ago so a lot may have changed.

The facilities are top notch. As you may or may not know, instruction is by Juliano Prado or a member of the Oyama Fight Team. They seem to have solid instruction but not too many advanced guys. Mainly white and blue belts. Also, I got the impression that many of the students had a spoiled, rich kid attitude (the I'm too good for this mannerism).

jadaizm thanks for clearin that up.. thats sounds pretty awesome...all you need is to show them your GB GI??

Sherdog mutt, how is your guys competition team?? Do you guys usually do pretty good in tournaments??
