But still hasn't had a fight announced since. How come???
He just had a kid and his kid was pretty sick for a little while. all good now though
I think he'll be on the Maine card, might even headline it depending on his opponent
He should retire.
Nah, i think he should be on the prelims
He was on a podcast I host and we covered this exact question. We clipped it into a 3:00 minute video. Hopefully that helps some.
Well he's from New England and is an exciting fighter, I could see the UFC making him the headlining fight
Why? I think he is exciting as hell. I also admire the fighter's mentality that he brings into the cage and he has some awesome JJ.
I can't stand him receive more damage, he should retire, I agree with Daspy.
I say this about a lot of fighters, and people usually get upset, and their response is like "OH SO HE'S JUST A BUM NOW?!!?". But it's not really about that. Joe's still young and has just taken a lot of damage. He's not going to contend for the belt, so it's either fight guys he can handle easily, or be in exciting fights with the top guys he's probably going to get slaughtered in. I don't like seeing guys get hurt, good guys like Joe especially.
good thing it does not matter what you think!
He just had a kid. Quitting your job isn't necessarily the best idea. I think he can still beat solid fighters and crack his way into the top 15, but thats about it. Its not always about winning or contending for the belt, its their fucking job.
I would have liked to see him fight Trujillo or Gomi.
Gotta agree with this.
Joe's a great fighter but he isn't an elite one. He's awesome to watch but he isn't gonna get the belt. Just keep giving him guys like Ruediger.
I think some gyms would pay top dollar for Lauzon's coaching. But a Gomi fight is pretty damn tempting. Dare I say you've changed my mind good sir!
He's looked noticeably slower in his last couple of fights, i think the wear and tear is getting the better of him. Still some fun fights for him though so i hope he doesn't retire.
Runs his own gym and has a few guys in the UFC. Not to mention he's got a fair bit of bonus money as well. That said, I don't think he should retire. He's still got a few years left in him as a lower top 10 type guy.
Any insight into the Japan incident?
His fight with Bethe Correira was less than 5 months ago.
