Maybe I just haven't seen any threads paying respect because of all the Brock, Conor and other typical sherdog trololol threads...

But Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs Claudia Gadelha II was hands-down the best WMMA fight I have seen. It was a real championship caliber fight. It was worthy of them fighting five rounds, and I was on the edge of my seat. We saw Claudia drop Joanna, and pound on her for the first two rounds, but then Joanna came back from adversity like a champion and brought the fight to Claudia. It was amazing to watch.

Oddly enough, can't say the same about the other women's divisions. Women's bantamweight (the division that's had more time to build) is like a game of hot potato. The skill-level seems off. Ronda folds faster than Superman on laundry day when she isn't winning. Holly Holm has the grappling skills of a grappling dummy. And Miesha has more heart than brains. Then you have Cyborg who has no brain... calling for smaller fighters to come up in weight to fight her. It's outrageous.

It was great, but only one time in WMMA history have so many nuts been busted at the same moment!

This never gets old...

It was nice to see a competitive Womens rivalry, I've always hated it when people called Rousey vs. Tate a rivalry when they were 2 one-sided dominations.

Nothing will ever beat this:

Nothing will top Ronda getting KO'd.

Hell yeah. Even my grandpa enjoyed it, and he's one of those purists Mexican dude's who only likes Boxing and sees all other combat sports as trash.

Nice blend of techniques and violence.

Direct quote from my "Tata" (basically PeePaw lol): "estas si saben tirar". "these girls actually know how to throw (punches)".

In terms of competitive-ness, maybe. People are already pointing at the Holly/Ronda fight but that one wasn't competitive at all.

Without a doubt one of very best. The fact that is was hot rivalry, and it took place at biggest weekend of UFC history definitely helps.

IMO top 3 alongside with Angela Lee/Mei Yamaguchi & Alexa Grasso/Mizuki Inoue.

I think so. JJ an Claudia put on a great show imo. I don't think there is a SW that can beat either of them.

During this moment of greatness I achieved a state of Wadtucketness few will over know.

Never seen that fight posted above so Ronda v Tate in Strikeforce is the best women's fight I have seen. It was a one round whirlwind.

That's completely subjective.

I know what you're going for, but...

No, it's not even one the best fights ever imo. ... And what is the best fight ever ?

A complete destruction like Joanna vs Esparza/Penne ? Or a fight like Joanna vs Val ? Or maybe, a fucking jaw dropper like Ronda vs Holly ???

Agree TS, it was a great fight. Both fighters had their moments and showed their strengths. Claudia is tough as hell and is a take down machine. JJ has great striking and cardio. JJ could hold the belt for a long time.

I never get disappointed watching a Joanna fight.

Yes it was one of the best ever, very competitive, fun to watch.

Holly vs Ronda was the most "enjoyable" WMMA fight in my opinion.
