To me, him as a fighter... Goat (imo), a toughness and resilience like no other and an obsessive competitor .... All the best, started in 2009... Until 2025. Managed to stay undefeated until 2025, fighting for belts only, ever since 2011...

no memes of him getting kod or strangled
the best and hardest resume

wether you agree or not facts doesnt care about a fanboys opinion or feelings
his resume is lightyears above anyone else
anyones resume would look trash besides jones

Obviously would've been great with or without steroids, but great enough to beat DC? Enough to beat prime Gus? We'll never know.

A Jones with no PEDS still beats all of his opponents even if they were on PEDs.

He's a career steroid abuser, but I won't deny his talent.

Let's not forget this is the man that got UFC 151 cancelled by refusing Chael Sonnen (a middleweight) as a short-notice replacement...

obviously Jones disagrees

He would have outpointed them all in that scenario.

Instead, we got to see slams, suplexes, GnP hellbow finishes, spinning heelkicks, spinning elbows, outwrestling olympians, out-kicking kickboxers, out-boxing boxers in-close etc.

In the end, we were all incredibly entertained and wouldn't want it any other way, not even the haters but they will take that to their graves.

He probably is the GOAT when you measure level and length of domination vs quality of opposition, but I wouldnt go this far. GSPs opposition was better overall imo although granted he came unstuck a few times unlike JBJ.

Yes, he's one of the most consistently dominant fighters ever. He acts like a silly goose outside of competition and I understand the flack from being caught with abusing performance enhancing drugs, but most of the greats have a sketchy history with testing so I just consider it to come with the territory.

GSP's opposition was far better?? Like Sensei Seagal said in an interview, "Can I laugh in your face"

Jones competition far exceeds GSPs. And no knock on GSPs comp, he beat elite fighters. But he also beat a lot of guys that were overrated. Jon beat many champions and the best of the best. He had a few guys in there like Santos, Smith, OSP and Reyes, but that was after beating pretty much every top LHW of all time.

Jon's resume exceeds everyone's easily.

Always amusing when Sherdog acts like Jon and TJ Dillashaw are the only guys in UFC who've ever used PEDs. I'm sorry Jon beat your favorite fighters, but that was 10+ years ago and it's time to move on!

Yeah it's so bizarre. Like guys are better masking PEDs than others. It's pretty funny when UFC brought in USADA in 2015, everyone started losing and all the belts went up for grabs with a huge change of generation of fighters. Yet no one talks about it the way baseball talks about their steroid eras. It's pretty clear that the best performing people in any sport with few PED regulations, are probably in fact using it too.

Ironically post USADA Jones has a better record than any other GOAT candidate. He takes the same tests as everyone else does and has wins. When he failed a test the result was removed from his record. So basically you only have to say he beat DC 1x, but his record is stacked besides DC 2x for it to matter.

Also if you say he used PEDs for all his fights then you're basically admitting you can find a way around the tests, which means you admit it's possible others are better at masking.

So many of GSPs wins would've wrestlefucked Jones' wins if they were the same size. I mean BJ Penn even gave Machida a hard fight lol.

LHW had the bigger names/stars, but WW had superior talent.

I don't desagree he have done some dumb shit but none of that can change the fact he is the goat.

He have the most important records that won't be broken in our lifetime.

Yeah the Tom situation sucks but this is prize fighting, any fighter in his position should be doing the same, its a selfish business.

So your a fanboy. Who cares. There was no need to create a thread about it.
