I'm starting to wonder if recreational drugs are as bad as they say.

These world-class athletes do it. And are able to manage their way through a training camp.

I don't know about you guys but I'm feeling more inclined to think blowing off steam with a moderate dose of something recreational might do me more good than Wheaties.

On another note, I find it odd JJ checked himself into rehab so quickly after getting popped. I'm not typically a conspiracy theorist, but looks like a publicity stunt to me.

I don't imagine someone who just defended his belt to be in such dire condition that he needs immediate rehab.

A little recreational drugs in moderation doesn't seem to be all that bad for you. Seems like checking into rehab is a publicity stunt for JJ...

    What do you guys think?

But I though mixed martial artists weren't world class athletes. I'm so confused.

I like how TS pretends Diaz has never done coke because he's never been caught with it.

I'm not saying he's a coke head but I refuse to believe Diaz has never done coke.

Drugs can improve your life, when handled correctly, preferably by pharmaceutical companies.

I won't be convinced until Ray Rice gets caught smoking a crack rock.

I would take that bet. Diaz likes weed because he has anxiety issues and yes it does help. I know, I have anxiety issues. I smoke weed and have never once thought about cocaine. I highly doubt Diaz has ever done coke. I would be so confident that he hasnt I'd bet money on it. I am not even a big fan of Diaz either.

Doesn't really matter how deep you are into the drug. If you think you need help, you need help.

Also I think going to rehab for coke is probably not the best thing to do if you want to stage a publicity stunt. He would probably try something a bit less problematic, like chasing down a purse snatcher or something.

This is the biggest problem with how governments and schools talk about drugs. They say weed is dangerous and life-threatening even. Then the kids go out into the world and see that it's not. So they lied, huh?

Well I guess that means heroin and meth aren't dangerous either, right?

Cue running shirtless on a motorway while shooting a firearm.

This, you are not addicted if an MD gives it to you, and then if you try to stop it isn't withdrawal it is "discontinuation symptoms,"

I really doubt that if this situation had never went to the public that Jones would ever enter rehab, this is all for a good image.

Chuck Liddell and Ricco Rodriguez are notorious coke users. Both UFC champions.

    Seems legit.

That's a dumb assumption to make. You sound like a coke head.

Listen to this guy and learn something.

    Absolutely.

The problem is that some can`t handle it and over abuse.

Jones can handle it, at least come fight night. That does not mean the rules are BS and he shouldn`t be punished.

If Jones is really going to start training full time rather than just in camp then right after a fight is the time to enter rehab because it's the only time that wouldn't interfere with training.

The decision to move to New Mexico to train full time might also be a rehab step in-and-of-itself. It takes Jones away from the environment in which he used cocaine and full-time training, environment aside, should make drug use a lot less attractive and less likely. I wouldn't be surprised if the move was actually the UFC's suggestion after getting the news about the drug test.
