This is a great matchup, but Rivera is undoubtedly ahead of Moraes in the UFC. It's a shame he never got to fight Cruz, because that's the fight he earned. Cody got a rematch because he's the only BW (besides Cruz) who could headline a PPV against TJ, especially because their drama is still marketable.

I think this mostly had to do with the UFC wanting to make TJ/Mighty Mouse happen, so all the possible contenders got scheduled against each other. But then that bout fell through and the only guy left not scheduled and able to fight was Cody.
