I used to think the same thing until I started listening to his podcasts twice a week
Took less than a year of his constant whining and crying about everybody and everything ruining rasslin every single fuckin week nonstop over and over again for me to get fed up with his bullshit

Don't know which one ur talking about lol

Cornette also blames Russo for ruining the build of Dr. Death Steve Williams as him and JR wanted to build him up to challenge Stone Cold for the title...Score one for Russo

I like Cornette, but man, does he ever stop screaming at the mic?

LOL @ thinking Severn could have been useful.

I'm the same way now. Corny can't go one interview or podcast or shoot without talking about Russo. Dude is on his brain 24/7.
As for Severn...the dude had 0 charisma and moved like a robot in the ring.

Jim Cornette > you

Cornette managed to get a total fucking lying asshole to cohost with him.

That said, I literally cannot listen bro Russo bro, bro.

I'm curious as to what the list of 'What Dan Severn Couldn't Do In Pro Wrestling, And What He Can Do Better Than Anyone Else In Pro Wrestling' entails.

Not blasting Severn, but I'd like imagine what an interesting Severn WWE run would have been.

And usually when I hear about Jim Cornette bashing Vince Russo, I usually think "There's two sides of every story."

But then I remember the serious drop in quality WCW's programming when Russo went to that company. I know there's other factors involved, but that does give Jim Cornette's stories about Russo alot of corrdibility. Not complete credibility, but alot.

Severn was a bigger Bob Backlund and I'm not talking about the awesome batshit Bob who snapped on Bret Hart. I'm talking that vanilla howdy doody who "gosh darns" everything.

Yeah I'm sure his suplexes alone would've gotten him over in the attitude era.

The serious drop in quality started long before Russo.

I mostly agree with Jim here, for sure WWF misused Severn, of course Severn was never a great stick man and he was a meat and potatoes wrestler who didn't look like an underwear model or a steroid freak, but he was the real deal and he had lots of credibility at the time and some what of a name, he could have been used in much better capacity, but they simply didn't.

Personally, not a fan of Vince Russo. I don't hate the guy, I don't like the guy's personality, I have heard him lie through his teeth too many times, I think Jim Cornette is a smart guy, but he goes too overboard about Russo and that's his thing now of days kind of like Iron Shiek, I also don't agree with everything Jim says about wrestling, but I think he does know a thing or two.

I think Russo with someone like Vinnie Mac to filter him could probably be effective again, but it's clear he doesn't really know much about pro wrestling on his own, he knows comedy wrestling and how to hot shot, but i guess he didn't know that term till recently lol, he knows more about sitcoms, reality television, Jerry Springer stuff like this and he even says it to himself.

But anyways I do agree Dan could have been used better.

Shamrock/Servern was the only match I wanted to see him in during that time, I thought he was boring but I knew enough about UFC at the time, so that match was interesting and I was a big Shamrock fan at the time. I thought they were going to meet up in the King of The Ring finals in 98.

Dude, Severn's go to move was a fireman's carry take down. I don't care how "real" you are, you're not getting over using amateur mat wrestling, and having the personality of a potato.
