Who you got?
Carrey by HSV-2
Never found Seinfeld funny even on his own show it was the other characters that made the show. Carey was funny for a few years at least
Not a fan of either of them really. I guess Carey has had a few good moments.
Funny enough I thought his best role was Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind, which was a drama.
Jerry is a better writer, stand up comedian, and Jim is a better actor, performer but gun to my head I'd have to say Jim because of his presence and the amount of legendary television/movie moments he has in his catalogue.
GOAT Carrey scene
Jerry long term
Seinfeld > anything Jim Carrey has done or will ever do. Plus he's a father in his 50s who talks shit online. That is weak.
Jerry is replaceable Seinfield. Jim Carey is irreplaceable for his iconic roles like The Mask, Ace Ventura etc
Both good. Very good comedians.
Seinfeld had arguably the greatest show in TV history.
Have to go with Jerry.
Nothing against Senfeld but I'm a Jim Carrey guy.
Also, I was a kid during their heyday. Jim contorting his face like an idiot and putting on "The Mask" was funnier to me then a bunch of adults sitting around a coffee shop table.
I grew up in the same time, and it wasnt.
That was actually the least funniest shit about Jim Carrey, and I watched Living Color growing up and all of that stuff.
His work in Liar Liar was very good. Ace Ventura was good too.
But nothing was as historic as Seinfeld.
Also you're not a kid anymore, so you should be able to put away the corny contorting faces and focus on the actual jokes.
Loved it! This movie was ridiculous, but it had some great moments where he came across incredibly disturbing, showing some acting chops for the first time. My fav scene is the basketball one, such an awesome tune too!
Jerry with Larry David wrote Seinfeld , gotta give him credit for the writing , Carey was legendary at being outrageous and his serious acting is underated , Seinfeld can't act at all lol
Really hard to compare these two actually.
He filled that role well and of course wrote a good deal of the show earlier but yeah it was more the witty straight man and it was ultimately George as a Larry David stand in that made the show special beyond a typical sitcom.
Carrey also became a very good dramatic actor latter in his career in the likes of The Truman Show and Enteral Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
Seinfeld. I was never really a Carrey fan outside of Dumb and Dumber.
It's been done:
You know what, I've just realised I have never seen cable guy
Separate names with a comma.
