Isn't he a trainer now, teaching boxing skills in MMA gyms? He was also a trainer during "The Contender". Plus, I think he is a paramedic.

I think he keeps himself busy, and has a full time job (or two).

He was an exciting guy when he boxed. Naturally ambedextrious (sp?) who could hit with both hands. Could have been a cruiser champ if the weight class went up to 200 earlier in his career.

I don't know why he didn't have a crack at the UFC or Strikeforce either.

To me, the UFC seems like the logical avenue for boxers in his posititon. Aging but still in adequate physical shape boxers who cannot quite reach the top should seriously consider an MMA career. The top guys in MMA earn about the same as second-tier boxers now. Also, you don't have to take as many shots to the head.

He's a trainer over at Legends MMA. He also had a solid wrestling background, state champ as a junior and what not.

I think I remember him saying something along the lines that he didn't have what it takes to be a top contender so he didn't want to compete in MMA but that he likes to coach the boxing aspect.

    Any boxing fan stragglers....
One benefit of going to noBSboxing is that there's no Iosephus over there.

So, when you're making your posts over here - just remember - Iosephus won't be commenting with BS at noBS.
    Just a reminder.

By the time he went into MMA Jeremy William's career was basically over. A fringe HW contender with a big punch, decent offensive skills but a lack of defence, size and chin prevented him from ever being more than a gatekeeper for the top level. His final loss... a highlight reel KO to Sam Peter... finally took the then 32 year old out of the boxing scene.

At the time EliteXC were throwing money around and Williams, who had a fairly decent wrestling and judo background, was more then happy to take the money to face a series of journeymen. He tried to restart his boxing career but after a harder than expected very close win over journeyman Gary Gomez and a proposed fight with Godfrey falling through he once again gave up on that. When EliteXC finally cut off the gravy train he went into the lucrative world of being a celebrity trainer and working at Xtreme Couture.
