he was getting sick after Floyds fight and things kept getting worse. sunday he thought he had food poisoning. on Monday he drank one of those liquid energy drinks that messed him up and he ended up having a minor heart attack. turns out he is now a full blown diabetic. anyway, he is ok, but been sleeping for almost 3 days straight. he will be ok though.

here is an interview i did after floyd's fight. he wasnt feeling good here, but he thought he would be ok

Hope Jeff's OK. We are all thinking about him PBI.

Christ, that's terrible.

My friend had the same thing with diabetes. One day he wasn't one, next day he was (for life).

Now everyday he has to watch what he eats (terrible restrictive diet), jabbing himself all day to take blood samples to measure his sugar levels.

Terrible.

may JCC protect us from this fate!

Jeff seems cool as hell. Good to see that he's recovering. Hopefully this doesn't complicate his life too much.

Shit news, glad he's recovering though. I hope he's doing okay and gets better soon.

Same, had a buddy who kept dropping weight and feeling lethargic in Afghanistan, then we got back, and he was a diabetic all the sudden. At like 23 years old, crazy

Hopefully Jeff recovers quickly, does Floyd Sr have diabetes too?

Part of the illness I was dealing with made me diabetic for a period of time. That shit is no joke. When I was in the hospital they were checking my levels every two hours round the clock. Stuck my fingers so much they were raw and callused. That sucked almost as bad as the other shit going on. They gave me a "So your diabetic?" manual at one point, it looked as thick as a phone book. Luckily I leveled off right before they released me.

Sorry to hear Jeff had to find out about it so harshly. Please wish him our best if you speak with him again.

I spent some time with him last night along withRoger, their mother and one of his fighters. He was asleep as he has been most of the time since it happened. However, when i saw his mom today she said he was doing better and pretty alert toda.

it was a horrible way to do it, but it was pretty neat getting to hear stories from Roger and their mom about them all being kids, as well as what Floyd was like as a kid. It was a totally different setting and i enjoyed hearing it.

anyway, jeff has a long road back and will be out of commission for quite awhile. Please continue to keep him in your thoughts. whether you are a mayweather hater or not, jeff is a great guy.

Jeff seems like a good guy and hope him a great recovery. Definitely the most likable Mayweather.

Sorry to hear about the incident but glad to hear he's on the mend. Best wishes to Jeff and the family.

JEff is awesome. I added him on facebook and so did my friend, like 7-8 years ago. Through one of the old FB apps or whatever, I randomly got a notification that "Jeff Mayweather challenged (My FRIENDS NAME) to a pillow fight and hit you with a pillow." Something like that Always brings the Lolz when my friend and I bring it up. It was not just same spam app either, Jeff Mayweather, or whomever runs his FB page did it themselves. My friend felt honored.

He always seems humbled and relaxed. Great guy, and hope all is well.

Jeff runs his own facebook and twitter. i run the facebook group page and post links to articles, but the personal comments are always from him. and he does have a great sense of humor, so it doesnt surprise me he did that

well, i guess the past couple days went well. jeff just posted this on his facebook

Finally I'm home and can speak for myself as to what really happen I'm not posting to promote or demote no anything just sharing my own personal experience I consider my system to have been pure as can be because I have never drank or smoke in my entire life, I drank an Energy drink Liquid Nitro it went straight to my heart and my heart couldn't take the shock of my heart felt as though sped up a thousand times normal I still don't place blame the only person I can blame is myself for taking a chance to do something different than I ever have , I felt as though for the last seven days of my life I was fighting for it with the help and support of my family and close friends I was able to come though but not without some mishaps that either I wasn't aware of that have now became away of life for me, Through this experience I became a full blown diabetic and now have to change my life with deep and compassionate concern of how I diet how I exercise how my life will have to play out for the rest of my existence on this earth. I share this with anyone that knows me and also know teh type of person I am if you like energy drinks please continue to support the cause if your straddling the line I shared my story and everyone system is different so my experience is only my experience. I wouldn't wish this last week of my life even on my worst enemy. I like to thank each and every single person that prayed for me that wished me well, My road to recovery will be a slow progress but once I get this new lifestyle right I'm sure I will be just fine

Hop he makes a safe recovery
