The fight that needs to happen next is the rematch of Werdum vs JDS whether Werdum wins or loses his next fight against Nog. I think the first fight was a fluke win for JDS and Werdum got caught by the then unknown fighter and came in very unprepared.

I definitely think Werdum wins the rematch and would favor him greatly in that fight. Werdum could tire JDS out spamming for take downs and use his improved striking. I think JDS would get very frustrated and Werdum gets that win and could very much end the fight by subbing JDS in round 2 or early round 3 as JDS gasses.

That would be a great fight to see.

People get so delusional after a great fighter has a bad loss.

Why would they be disregarded? I just think it was a fluke win and Werdum has always shown to be alot better than that. The rematch would be nothing like the first fight at all.

His striking seems to be improved a lot.
I still doubt that he would want to strike with JDS - as it turned out to be a mistake last time.
It would be fun to see JDS defend the submissions.

Yeah so every win for JDS is a fluke now. I guess winning by decision is now better than winning by KO on Sherdog. Except everyone rags on Fitch and GSP who dominate entire fights. This place is fucked up.

JDS would not lose to Werdum. Let's discount every great fighter after a single loss to an equally great fighter.

Lol. Pretty much the dictionary definition of discarded.

I'm afraid it could look a lt like Werdum-Overeem.

No I dont think Struve,Gonzaga,Carwin or Yvel are fluke wins as they are not very good at all and nobody ever mentions them as being any good either so lets be real. Nobody is hopping on the Gilbert Yvel war wagon.

Werdum is actually a quality fighter and that fight against JDS was very much a fluke win.

JDS by KO again, Werdum is not gonna be able to take him down and he's obviously the lesser striker.

There's not a lot of contenders at hw ATM. I think it would be foolish matching jds and werdum up and burning a potential contender.

It would be a matchup I'd like to see though.

Actually there is a good probability that the second fight ended up like the first. Werddum does not have the speed or the wrestling or the pace of Cain to press Cigano. He moves forward and his striking defense aint the best. JDS will stay on the outside, avoid the clinch and will put him out eventually.

I have much bigger interest in seeing JDS vs Overeem. Let BF fight Werdum again

I dont think so at all. I think Werdum would pressure JDS and could get hands on him just like Carwin,Nelson and Gonzaga were able to do except when Werdum takes JDS down he will not be getting back up.

After Overeem beats Bigfoot then Overeem will be fighting Cain for the title. JDS could fight Werdum in the meantime.

I can watch a rematch between those two. Only thing I cant share your confidence about Werdum. He couldnt take or hold Overeem down, and JDS is a lot fatser on his feet than the Reem. Plus as we saw in the Cain fight he is very hard to hold down. If a wrestler such as Cain could not hold JDS down and had a lot of fail attempts for TDs with his technique and speed what makes u think Wrdum will do better. BJJ guys are actually notorious for not being good at taking ppl down- thats wrestling territory.

The only thing Werdum takes it and keeps it down is if he staggers JDS on his feet. He ain no KO master though and JDS has got the chin too.

All that considered I still believe JDS catches Werdum and KO's or TKO's him 9 times

I think it will be the same story than fedor/werdum fight.
    Or maybe the Werdum/overeem.

Right you are! I seem people think JDS is not top 50 fighter anymore:)
His every win was lucky and unworthy.
