JDS = ungodly chin/heart OR Cain = Lack of KO power??

my friend and I were watching last night and after that first round he was saying how cain is gonna finish it. when it didnt happen in the 2nd or 3rd he started to poo poo cain not having the power. I told him jds is a beast with heart.

Personally i think its a combination of both but leaning more towards jds having chin and heart.

I think it was much more to do with JDS's chin/heart. Cain knocked him down and hurt him badly with one punch, and his punches have decimated Nogueira and Lesnar. When Junior ate the punch in the 3rd round and the facekick in the 5th, you have to think those strikes would've put away 90% of heavyweights, they were big big shots from an underrated striker.

he doesnt get great leverage on his gnp. he's just arm punching. he has plenty of power on the feet but he wasnt throwing full power and JDS was always moving back or rolling with the punches.

people we give credit for huge ko power often are just very good at timing a counter and catching a guy coming forward.

guys like lombard and glover have true huge power but if a guy is backing up / covering up they still have to dish out a lot of heavy shots before putting a guy away

I think he means he doesn't have one power punch. He surely has, but he practically didn't put any figther away with one punch, even with barrage of punches, didn't put anyone to sleep.

You're right, but that is a matter of precision as much as power. I hear you, but people keep using the term "no power" and it's ridiculous. It's also ridiculous to critique a guy with 9 of 11 finishes because they required more then one punch.

I think they both have amzing chin and heart to be able to go 5 rounds at the elite heayweight level theyre at?Thats nuts i think JDS got the fight knocked out early with that huge right and just couldnt really regain his power and energy,and Cain just kept coming forward,already looking forawrd to the 3rd match....
