In good mood JDS says something along the lines :

We fighters dont get hurt. He (Minotauro) lost because of a KO. Thats why the fight ended. He doesn't care much. Even when I fought Velazquez I got contused but it's we are so used to that that is part of every fight

Minotauro is a beloved fighter by everybody, me too I admire him also he's a great master, I think he still has it in him, like Mir that would be a good fight. Trainning is hard and you should train to be prepared to the level of the fight, and that makes injuries. All in all, Rodrigo (Minotauro) still has fuel in him and has an offensive game, people like to watch him fight, I like to watch him fight, and he should fight until he decides went to retire. Then, when he makes up his mind, he can retire. If he still believes, I also believe

I don't know what's going to happen first, Grant returns or Nogueira retires.

Nah, man. Read the OP. He's bassically supporting his teacher, saying Minota still has fight in him.

I agree with Cigano but I prefer not to see Nog getting knocked out. He cant compete with the top dogs anymore. I did want to see him fight Mir one last time but now I feel differently. I do not want to see him lose again especially to Mir.

Jds is right that it should be ultimately up to the fighters if they want to keep fighting. It may not be the right decision cues some guys don't know when to stop. But at the least he won't live with any regrets.

I want to see nog come out on top with a win or 2 and then call it a career

In a nutshell: live and let live.

Sadly, as in a lot of cases, it is not a question of motivation [or still having that mythical "It"] but of the fighter's physical condition that determines his future. He maybe a lot younger than Nog but look at Dan Hardy as an example. Still young as a so-so fighter but his career reached its twilight so soon.

I dislike Dana but he may have a point in this. Nog has taken a ton of damage and it will be bad for him and the UFC. Unless the fights a grappler who doesn't hit that hard like Struve (he has TKOs in his career but doesn't have the lights out power of a Nelson, Hunt or Carwin)

Have him fight Mir in a loser retires fight at the second co-main at the end of the year card

    IMHO
the only problem with JDS opnion is that in some cases the fighter doesnt know when to stop.
guys like nogueira, pulver and even to a lesser degree shogun may still have the "fire" but not the mental/physical conditions to fight at high level.
at times like this those who are around then should guide and help then to see what is best.

If he still insists on fighting, give him Barnett.

Nog can still fight, but his ceiling is still right around Schaub. It might be time for him to go to Bellator.
