Absolutely elite for an MMA fighter, just not for a boxer. He did ok against this guy, but the Olympic boxer definitely beat him. So against an Olympic caliber boxer... not so much. But you don't need to be that high a level against MMA guys. His boxing is incredible for an MMA fighter.

Also, this isnt to say JDS couldnt be an elite boxer in his own right, but when you focus on takedowns, submissions, etc, you just cant put the same training into your boxing as a straight boxer would.

Certainly true but it's good enough. Guy is a thinker - and those are rare among MMA strikers.
