Got really exposed as in he has shown us a tremendous amount of heart in a 5 round fight with Cain. Cain was obviously the better fighter that night so let's not take that credit away from him. But c'mon, where has his "loyal" fans go? They seem to have bandwaggoned to Cain once again, it's a shame. It seems the average Sherdoggers' favourite fighters seem to only be the one holding a title. Cigano will be back and if you guys thought Cain was hungry, just wait until you see Cigano come back in full vengeance. He's getting his belt back for sure, WAR CIGANO!

This loss will make JDS come back stronger and more well rounded. Where have all the loyal fans gone? Most are prob avoiding sherdog for a few days until Cain fans stop gloating. We are still here tho.

JDS is still no worse than a top 4 HW and that's giving Reem and Cormier a lot of credit that they haven't quite earned yet. Sherdog is always quick to bash the loser than praise the winner, but this fight seems to be extraordinarily bad.

Cain is a great fighter and one of the hardest men in MMA to deal with. JDS lost but if people think there is some easy blueprint to beat JDS they have another thing coming. Few, if any, can do what Cain does.

Exposed? not really. He shrugged off the first like 4 TD's like they were nothing and after he got blasted, surprise surprise, his TDD wasn't as good and cain did his thing. The 3rd fight will be very, very, interesting.

Cain beat his ass from bell to bell but JDS will rise up to face Cain again. Fair weather fans are what were exposed.

The only belt he'll get is a jiu jitsu black belt.

Lightning only strikes once in the same spot. Cain will finish him in the third fight and close that chapter of their careers.

JDS will earn his way back to fight Cain for the belt, Junior is too great not to be a champion again.

Cain took him down right away. What fight were you watching?

Not really. Cain had a hell of a time getting him down and keeping there when he was gassed. What other hw could keep a pace like Cain.

Yea, the fair weather fans are off the bandwagon, but his real fans are still here

His loyal fans are still here, unless the plethora of threads I'm seeing giving him props even in defeat are just my imagination. Hell, even Cain fans are giving him credit where credit is due. Everyone outside of pure haters like Supercharged, that is.

The two are the best in the division, #1 and #2. They've lost once in the UFC, and that was to each other. Statistically, and is there any other objective way to look at it right now, it's a 50/50 thing when these two square off.

I can't wait to see them go at it again. I don't want to see it for a while, naturally, but I have no qualms in seeing Cain wreck Overeem, and JDS wreck whoever they put in front of him next, before that happens.

Man, I don't understand how a true MMA fan can't like both guys. Hate the fans all you want, sure, but Cain Velasquez and Junior Dos Santos are proven warriors and as classy as champions can get.

JDS takes the 3rd match if you give him a couple years.

He's never fought anyone as good as Cain and needed that experience to get better.

Holy shit, ain't that the truth. This is my favorite reply of the year. Just in time.

Thought about it through and through, I wanted Cain to win and had lost $1k last year for him to take it, but I'm going to say this: Jones beat a drugged up Machida in 2 but Cain couldn't finish a drugged up JDS in 5. Would've wanted Cain to have won fairly, as a Cain fan. That is all Gentelmen.

He got taken down twice right off the bat. Yeah he got right back up, but he got taken down. After that he did shrug off some sloppy attempts, but Cain was catching him on the feet and hurting him, then came the big punch and JDS was out of it from then on out.

Why anybody thought that JDS would be able to handle Cain's wrestling is beyond me.

One needs only to look at his camp, his background, and his fighting style to know that Cain is a horrible matchup for him.

In the end his ground game wasn't even on the same level as lil-nog, and we all know what quality wrestlers do to him.

Mehh. I have a twofold response to that. Cain played it safe while still attempting to finish with strikes. He also got foolish by attempting to finish with strikes. JDS wasn't all there, but he obviously wasn't going to go unconscious. What a chin. But that doesn't take away the dangerous element of a punch that could have caught Cain at any time.

Personally, if I was Cain, I wouldn't have fooled around with standing at all. There was some narrow misses thrown by JDS. Stick to your bread and butter and play it safer. But I'm with you in a sense that Cain could have easily went for a submission. But he didn't appear to be in the mindset to fight for that kind of finish. Probably had that gameplan of tiring JDS out drilled into his head from training.

I'm not calling you out, don't know your posting history or anything, but a LOT of JDS fans were downright disrespectful of Cain and his chances leading up to this fight. They've earned a little gloating I suppose.
