    Can someone tell me why it is that boxers are more flat footed/static in sparring sessions?

    what nvs said, and also the fact that sometimes you are just fucking tired before sparring even starts, so you are much more flat footed. Or you jsut want to work on standing more in one place, countering, etc

    Chavez landed on him pretty good when he threw, but he was pretty outclassed in that sparring, even though it clearly wasn't 100%

    You see mad power in Golovkins hits. Even his seemingly light punches bounce Chavez's head back.
