JBJ vs Cormier today, who wins?

This fight will eventually happen. And I think at 205, JBJ eats DC alive. If it happened tonight, who would win? Meaning DC at 224 vs what ever JBJ walk around at (and I think it has been reported he walks some were around 220...). Without the necessary adjustment to the weight cut and speed adjustment at LHW, how would DC fare?
 
I think people like you dont understand how hard it is to finish Roy. and Cormier played the right gamplan to beat him, and even outclassed him everywhere.

Nelson isnt a stand out fighter but the guy is damn solid and can still beat tonnes of fighters.

Cormier impressed me tonight, by a huge amount, i think he's an extremely tough fight for Jones, and could possibly beat him.
 
Cormier with ease. tonight made me do a complete 180 tbh.
 
Cormier easy, did you see how Chael was landing in the clinch?

Would be a great fight
 
Cormier will be right behind Jones (and maybe Gus) but its hard to see how he can ever beat Jones

Is english not your first language? What does my original post have to do with Nelson? BTW, I agree with everything you said, but what does that have to do with this thread? Do you really think that tonights fight vs Roy is indicative of what would happen at 205 vs JBJ P4P king? I think it would be very interesting to see them fight TODAY. With out the weight cut and the necessary adjustment to LHW, I think this would be a VERY interesting fight.

Jones knew he would manhandle Sonnen thats why he allowed him to clinch. Cormier is gonna be another fighter he will fight from the outside. Also Jones is tough as hell, Cormiers fatman punches isnt gonna hurt him.
 
I want to see what DC brings at 205 then make a judgement. Style wise JBJ likes to keep range and DC likes to close range really fast. It would be chess but if they grappled that would be the real interesting factor who can control who at LHW.
 
I favor Cormier, but I'm a big fan of his. I know Cormier has a very formidable skillset for Jonny, but Jones is Jones. Hell of a fight, either way.

As it is now, he can def. pose problems for Jones. There are also things I see Jones being able to exploit.
 
Cormier becouse Jones is injured. When they fight Jones is gonna outsrike him.
 
I think if you nullify Jones' wrestling, you have a great chance to win.

Cormier can do that, so he has a solid chance. I won't pick him to win, though, until I see how he does with the cut.

That is exactly why I am asking (in a theoretical fight TODAY) who wins? Todays fighting weight for DC is pretty close to JBJs walking weight. At 205 id heavily favor JBJ. But in this theoretical fight, at 220(ish) I think it would be a very intriguing fight.

Rashad didn't exactly do well even when he nullified (for the most part) Jones' wrestling
