I honestly think Jones was bored at LHW since fighting DC.

He basically stopped trying hard and didn’t think anyone else was near his level outside of DC.

He didn’t pursue wrestling like he did before and looked to be coasting.

I think he knows at HW if he coasts he will likely go night night, so we will see the best Jones since he fought DC.

He’s just old and been in the game 15 years now. He is declining just like everyone else does after that kind of time.

Jon Jones’ return is like MJ returning to play for the Wizards.
Is he old? He is much younger than Stipe now and is barely older than Stipe when he first became champion.

He is also younger than Ngannou.
Is Ngannou also old?

Just because Jones was beating guys since he was a kid doesn’t make him old. I would say his age is close to the average age of most Hw champions.

Jones isn’t even that old either I hope he comes into this fight motivated wanting to prove himself at heavyweight.

This seems to be the consensus of many fighters and commentators.

Hell he looked bored in his fights since DC

He's a crappy boxer with little power who shuts down when he can't bully his opponent. He's basically a more talented and focused Nick Diaz.

This is my contention; but considering that he has popped a few times, it's not a hill I'm willing to die on.

Frankly, I'm hoping that they test him constantly; because even if we give him every benefit of the doubt.... well you know.

It'd be great to see a hungry JBJ take on the bigger guys.

TS ain’t wrong. Jon was bored and fighting to the level of his opponents towards the end there. Motivated Jon Jones could be as dangerous as motivated BJ.

Hopefully we are in for a mature Jones :)
Mature Jones.

He cruised because he could. I mean he slept walked through the Anthony Smith fight.
A lot of people here could be in for a big surprise if Jones comes in for real.
That being said, Gane may be a gifted matchup for him. Probably Curtis and Aspinall are tougher fights.

It just seems like he can't inject the motivation inside himself to be as dominant as he once was
