Jan made a stupid mistake in Thiago fight. He's not rushing recklessly anymore. It cost him back then and he learned the lesson. Nowadays, his leading punch is always connecting first with opponents glove or face like when he fought Reyes. Against Maretta he whiffed all his punches and his chin was exposed on the platter. This was the best version of Santos but not the best version of Jan.

Stating that, it doesn't mean Rumble wouldn't win even now. With freakish power of his he could KO anybody. But when we will exclude PEDs from his system then the convo ends here.
