Does anyone know the kickboxing record of James Warring?
In professional boxing he is 18-4-1
In MMA he is 2-1.
Wikipedia lists only two fights in kickboxing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Warring 1990 against Vitali Klitschko and 1997 against Peter Aerts. The fight against Vitali is listed as an amateur bout, but it is not correct, because they fought without headgears https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdntJcKXu0o
What is his kickboxing record?

Internationally at the highest level probably he hardly fought in kickboxing. He was a a top boxer. Anyway, before WKA and such associations used to promote better world titles. Today kickboxing is a little bit changed, they have decreased because of the promotions. So he may have been a solid kickboxer also, but his record in K-1/Netherlands is limited.

Just a partial account of Warring's kickboxing record. I don't know what his final record was, but it's probably close to what is documented here. By the late 80's he was more active in boxing than kickboxing and the Aerts fight was probably one of his last if not the last.

From the May 1985 STAR ratings, Warring's record was listed as 15-1-1 10 KO 4 KKO.

In September 1987 when he fought Ken Wilhelm his record was announced as 21-1-1

He lost to Peter Aerts in 1997 so that would give him at least 2 losses.

He was worldclass in kickboxing. The only loss he had for a long time was against Don "The Dragon" Wilson. He switched to pro boxing where he held a cruiserweight world title for some time. He was already retired from kickboxing for years when he fought Aerts, but needed some cash. There are some pictures from his Aerts fight at the bottom of this page:

His kickboxing fight record going into the Aerts fight was: 30-1-1
