Just observed James McSweeney yesterday morning, full speed on his moped in Phuket, only wearing shorts and flip flops. Big guy, but without a helmet he is nothing. I believe he is training at Phuket Top Team.

Christ, I think James might just die if PTT is anything like most thai camps. The amount of body shot conditioning I've seen them do is ruthless.

James seems to have great potential, but has lost a couple fights due to bodyshots - which seems very odd due to his very extensive kickboxing background. Anyway, he had a great last big win. Take a pic next time!

Actually, kickboxers are terrible against bodypunches.

Any idea why that is K? I figured due to their conditioning they would deal with them well.

He is a big guy, even when hunched over the handlebars of a small moped. Impossible to take a photo due to the speed, but I could have knocked him out if I wanted. I was driving a car after all ;)

Its more to do with the way most of them defend that any lack of conditioning, the high guard is good for shifting the elbows down for body kicks and lifiting the leg for a check.

But its pretty bad for defending body punches, even more so when the distance is close ( even fight at close distance is rare for a kickboxer)

It makes for a relatively easy liver shot, glory welterweight champ Nieky Holzken exploits this flaw extremely well, his style is pretty boxing based and he finds the liver well, he has hurt, dropped and finished many fighters with right anf left hooks just behind his opponents elbows.

I would be more worried about STD's and the drinking water.

He used to teach kickboxing from time to time at Jackson's. He was a pretty good teacher.

I'd be more worried about the old, westerner goes to pattaya, and commits suicide cause he/she blew all their money on hookers trick.
