James harden with first 60 point triple double in NBA history

Sure. Harden will get it. Booker should have been awarded MVP too

Yeah, that's the sort of arbitrary achievement that seals up arbitrary MVP races.

He gets MVP this year but I'm calling it now Kyrie gets it next

Looking forward to the Warrior's waxing the Rockets this post season... will be a fun week.

LOL, Kyrie will never be MVP.

Why not? He's already extremely valuable to the Celts. When he's out, they're completely different offensively.

Because he's not that good. Look at what happened to the guy he replaced. Boston is that special right now. No clear indication that Kyrie is.

Besides that, the plainest and most straighforward answer is that he doesn't average over 25ppg (and as a guard). Simultaneously, he isn't a perennial DPOY-candidate or a +/- demon averaging 10+ apg who's team's scoring, efficiency, and winrate goes to shit when he isn't on the floor (the Nash effect). Here are your regular season MVPs:

Find one who ever pulled that off. Pretty sure Dirk is the only one.

TheBeard has been the nba mvp the past 4 years.

He is the most deadly offensive player in today's game. The stats back it up. Give credit to Morey for maximizing theBeards resources.

When he is firing on all cylinders he is un-guardable.
