Would make sense that the level is higher down there when that's all some people do all day everyday as a way of life. We have much better nutrition though.

They've also had BJJ for a longer period of time, from what I've heard.

Poor choice of excerpt as the title. The interview itself is quite good. Jake's story is really cool and the way he just uprooted his life for his dream is really inspirational. I've gotten lucky enough to train with him over the years and I hope his name gets even more common.

We work and study as much as the americans, you genius...
But we have always had places like Lloyd Irvin (where guys live off BJJ) for a longer period of time

I'm talking about people who can't afford education and such. Some can only train in hopes of making a living off of BJJ no? If not then I'm sorry. Thanks for the intentionally hurtful sarcasm.

Who has better nutrition? America? No chance

I think the level is still higher down there. Do I think a Brazilian blue belt will own every American blue belt? No it's not that big of a gap but at the highest levels they are still ahead.

I think we have better nutrition in terms of availability and ability to afford it. Comparitively to the majority. Food wise, meh I know many of our peoples are obese.

So some canadian dude..not from Rio or LA..says that Rio is a higher level of BJJ than LA?

Now, its true..but I bet LA is much father ahead of wherever he is from in canada than rio is ahead of LA. LA is the best place outside of Rio to train BJJ. Had a authenic brazilian said that I would have no problem. Who is this guy?

don't Brazilians have easy access to steroids for cheap? that's much more useful than a bunch of stupid supplements

Ability to afford I agree we are a wealthier country. But availability I disagree, I was down there and I was tripping over juice bars...real ones not jamba juice.

Also, isn't grass fed beef, the only beef? I think their nutrition is way better. If you can eat grass fed every day then you will be better off than these corn fed cows.

well you go down there and the mats are filled with anywhere to 15-20 BB of all types and styles - not even counting the browns and purples. That many BB of course the level is going to be through the roof.

I hadn't a clue that roids are easy to come by down there. If so, no wonder guys look so huge yet say they can't afford to eat hah. Geez peeps I meant normal nutrition.

You know I meant juice as in natural smoothies and juice. They add protein but that's it.

Not sure about the grass fed meat but when I came back to the states I couldn't stomach our food here for about a week
