Jaideep Singh won Deep HW championship

Sakakibara said after the fight that both Toyota and Singh "Aren't World Class fighters. They have potential, but should keep honing their skills in DEEP with the goal of making it in RIZIN one day."

So I guess we just straight up have no idea who Fedor will be fighting.

Motoya defended his title at the same event and it Sakakibara announced that he will be invited to RIZIN.

It's good that not anyone can enter the tournament. I figured Singh would have based on his K-1 stint. But if he needs to put in time, he needs to put in time.

I'm pleasantly surprised Jaideep got the win. Toyota was on a decent little streak, and could be a handful for most 1-0 fighters. Hope he continues to improve in the future.

Will be funny if Jaideep ends up having a successful MMA career and everyone is like "Man I wish that guy would have fought Fedor."

Yet he asked for Choi and Sapp?

I want to kick this guy's as*.

His words mean less than Dana's IMO.

If a fight promoter even dials Sapp's number by accident he's a piece of shit.

I agree with this, Toyota isn't a bad win for someone's second ever pro MMA fight.

Jaideep impressed me in his debut. I don't want him to fight Fedor only because he is a no win for Fedor.

Skillwise, I'd be fine with the fight, but it's too risky for Fedor.

Not sure if I'd go that far yet, but he is an interesting prospect imo.

He is a great striker and his TDD is impressive.

I find this interresting, but sadly he is a nobody in MMA at this point and it's unfair to Fedor to consider this fight.

Possibility for sure.

Hoping they announce the HW GP participants soon, NYE isn't that far away.

The tradition on NYE was to announce fights pretty late even if they'd been arranged sometime beforehand to build up hype. Makes sense I spose as with so much of the fanbase close at hand people aren't having to book flights and hotels in advance, its more a question of convincing them to attend a few days or less in advance.

A lot we don't know about him in MMA of course but I'd agree he does seem to have potential.

A large part of the reason why the HW division has been in decline in recent years is IMHO because its lacked talent switching from a striking base like Crocop, Hunt and Sergei. Not saying Jaideep will end up on their level but he has more raw talent than the vast majority of recent HW hopefuls.
