Won the Deep HW title against some 6-6 HW named Carlos Toyota who has a win over HMC. They've already guaranteed the Jungle Fight HW champ winner will get a spot in the tournament. Might as well throw the deep winner in as well. Then you got 6 more spots. Idk how legitimate this tournament is going to be but with 500k on the line hopefully the next 6 are legit. Shawn Jordan, Fedor and 4 others would be good. Do you guys want Jaideep in the tournament?

Jaideep, Pudz, Jordan, Jungle Fight Champ, Fedor, Goltsov, Lungu, Vinicius Spartan

PRIDE was a combo of talent, characters (the pro wrestling tie-in) and having fighters from all over the world.

Singh has some talent (K-1 alumni, beat a HW on Japanese soil for a title), character (different look) and is of Indian origin.

Seems like a candidate for the tournament.

JAIDEEP will be in the gp....but fedor will headline the 31st of dec portion no gp for him

I don't know if anyone remembers my old signature with the proposed Openweight Tournament of Death for 2015, but it looks like Sakakibara might actually make most of it happen.

Then your standards are absurdly & pathetically low.

Considering their not going to get UFC fighters, Bellator's champ or M-1 fighters I don't see why it's a bad list at all. Jaideep (2-0) is a decent kickboxer, Mariusz Pudz (9-3) is a big draw and has really worked on his game and has beaten some decent fighters, Shawn Jordan (18-7) is an athletic 30 year old who went 6-4 in the UFC, not sure who the jungle fight champ is but he'll be either 7-0 or 7-3 or something like that, Fedor (34-4) is considering the best HW ever and is obviously coming out of retirement for this, Denis Goltsov (16-4) is one of the best HW prospects outside the UFC and is still only 25, Lungu (12-3) is def past his best at 41 but he's one of the few SHW's to be decent ever really and he's on a 3 fight win streak including beating Mighty Mo, and Spartan (8-3) is the logical guy Bellator will lend as he's not going to fight for the championship soon but he's good enough to make a run and if he did then boom they have a legit contender for their own belt.

Sakakibara said after the fight that both Toyota and Singh "Aren't World Class fighters. They have potential, but should keep honing their skills in DEEP with the goal of making it in RIZIN one day."

So I guess we just straight up have no idea who Fedor will be fighting.

Motoya defended his title at the same event and it Sakakibara announced that he will be invited to RIZIN.

Fair enough, I'm assuming that means Singh looked pretty bad.

Lol how so, I didn't see it.

It was just weird seeing someone that big get knocked out
