For anybody that is interested, Jack Slack just released his breakdown of Aldo vs. Edgar II, he points to Aldo's excellent use of the pivot as critical to his victory and in comparing it to the first fight, how good Aldo is at adapting to his opponents (especially in rematches)

Aldo's jab and leg kicks weren't as present in this fight. Edgar's defence was actually better this fight, but so was Aldo's. Neither fighter had the offensive success they had the first time. The only similarities was that Aldo played the counter striker nicely in both fights .

Aldo did essentially the same thing, whether or not he's penetrating with punches and leg kicks is not really relevant. He used a lot of the same set ups.
